About Me

Tattooed Angus - Problem Child (Live)
Tattooed Angus - Sin City (Live)

The story so far . . .

. . . Right from the inception of Tattooed Angus the key focus was going to be the sound, everyone in the band agreeing they wanted to get it as close as possible to the roaring sounds of AC/DC from the 1970’s.
The good news is they succeeded, the Guitarists from Tattooed Angus are loaded with some serious Vintage AC/DC sound and playing styles. The rhythm section is tight and tough and very much in sync with each other, and the vocalist will make you sit up and listen. Their Angus player is just that, an Angus player, no more no less. He has played nothing but AC/DC on his Gibson SG guitars for the past 20 plus years, and he’ll prove it to you anywhere, anytime!
Tattooed Angus play songs from AC/DC’s most popular eras. Right across Bon’s dominance of the mid to late 70’s, taking from a wide range of AC/DC performances. And the introduction of what was to become AC/DC’s longest serving vocalist, Brian Johnson, singing for his life on the greatest Rock ‘n ‘ Roll album of all time, Back In Black. Throw in the roof raising Thunderstruck, and with new songs always in the works, it adds up to one hell of an exciting set-list.
Tattooed Angus will not only leave their audiences wanting more, they will keep their audiences coming back for more. True fans will instantly recognise what Tattooed Angus are all about, and new comers might just mistake their sound for the real thing.

Band Members:

Ming - On Lead Vocals Ming is a true Brian Johnson styled vocalist that sounds very much like the great man who has fronted AC/DC for the last 29 years. Having Ming in our line-up has greatly opened up the door for us to be able to do pretty much anything from AC/DC's 35 year history, and we salute you.

Jimmy - On Lead Guitar Malcolm Young and in particular Angus Young have shaped Jimmy's guitar playing for the past 20 years. Jimmy's gifted playing style could be seen as something he was born to do. Jimmy has developed his craft studying one of the hardest working Rock'n Roll acts in the world today. Embracing the tireless work ethic and uncompromising rock'n roll brand that AC/DC represent. It is no accident that Jimmy has become the premier Lead Guitarist.

His enthusiasm shines through when in full flight and will undoubtedly please the die hard fans of the legendary rock group.

Jimmy accompanies this playing style with Heavy Duty Hardware. Namely his Gibson SG guitars that are complimented by Vintage Marshal JMP amplification to complete the genuine gutsy Angus Young sound.

Denis - On Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals Denis is a hard rocking seasoned Malcolm Young player who has played in a variety of different AC/DC Tribute Bands searching for the real thing. His devotion to the playing style and sound of this World-renowned rhythm player will be obvious from the first chord. With impeccable timing and true Malcolm Young sound, Denis will help to elevate Tattooed Angus to new levels.

Corrie - On Drums Corrie has been playing drums for almost 30 years and he’s one of the hardest hitters I’ve ever heard. He was the original drummer for one of the pioneers of AC/DC tribute acts, Bon Voyage. As well as being a valuable member of a wide variety of original and cover bands around Australia, including the premier Rolling Stones act, Jumpin’ Jacks Back, The Stones Show.

Marty - On Bass/Backing Vocals Marty is a tight and rhythmic bass player who loves AC/DC more and more every day, not a day goes by that Marty doesn’t crank up AC/DC and swing his bass guitar to the rhythm. He gets right off on the ‘79 Paris show, and with favourites like Riff Raff and Live Wire he really does carry out the essence of the 70’s AC/DC sound and feel without to much trouble at all.
