The Nailheads first appeared in the Montreal punk scene back in 2001.
They quickly put out a 5 song e.p. titled "people killing people" which is no longer available. They soon became infamous because of a show they played at L'Alizé
where the crowd mainly consisted of nazi skinheads. Even though the Nailheads are an anti-racist band, that show gave them a bad reputation around Montreal. The Nailheads had gathered a loyal fan-base with a gang of local punks that would
attend all their shows. Those fans soon became known as "The Nailheads Crew" and also gained quite the nasty reputation at another show in which some of the soundman's equipment was damaged. The rowdy "Nailheads Crew" had been moshing relentlessly and kept pulling the mic stands into the crowd to the sing-along choruses. The band was told never to return to that venue again and the fans retaliated by threatening the soundman and venue owners. The Nailheads self-destructed in 2003 after their final show at Salle de L'X.
But now (2008), original singer Ritchy Nails has hooked up with some new members (Milton on guitar and Lucky (dead and confused) on drums) and once again they plan to take the Montreal punk scene by storm.
