Band Members:
Anwar Alam (PK/GER), violin
Johanna G. Hernandez (VE), violin
Aki Matusch (JP/GER), cello
Daniela Petry (GER), kontrabass
Influences: Anwar Alam, Johanna Hernandez and Daniela Petry met in summer 2007 to play some of Richard Wagner..s music. A lot of things beyond that happened to them and so they found themselves in Berlin, recording this music from all over the world. Aki Matusch is also a sound engineer and joined the project by recording the trio.
The first gig in winter07 was crazy in different ways, followed by a not less emotionally overwhelming swiss-tour in spring08 and 2 concerts in southern-germany, where again we had such a nice and warmhearted audience we couldnt believe it (thanks!!)The pieces are originals from the Bandmembers (Aesp&Music by D.P.) and also beautiful melodies from the countrys or rather musical backgrounds we come from: Tango, Rock, Brasil, Pakistan, Japan, Jazz, Spacefunk, Kitchennoise and Classical
LOca - variation on "Milonga Loca" by Astor Piazolla
Raga - Indian traditional music, which was taught to the group by Anwar; the percussion player Raffi is a friend of ours and joined us as a guest for this concert
Music is hypnotizing - piece in two movements, contains jazz concepts, classical forms like canon and counterpoint structures
Vuelvo al Sur - our favourite song by Astor Piazolla
Aesp, was originally called Aesp and is a ballad that can develop into any other style during the free improvised Solo part
