About Me

I always hate answering this classic 'Who are you?' blurbs because it seems silly and nigh impossible. I'm the kind of person who finds himself with the incurable Peter Pan complex; I don't want to grow up. I am drawn to anything of the fantastic or fictional and rarely want to dirty my hands with the depressing normality of the real world. Not meaning I never leave my basement, mind you, I would just prefer to watch an entertaining sitcom than watch the evening news.
I am a rather relaxed and laid back kind of guy, but that took many years of me being a stick of dynamite with a fuze so short you could barely tell its there. Not sure where it came from or, to be honest, went to, but that was a different time and place. I've been described as a bit jaded and bitter, but anybody who walks on this Earth finds something to jade them and someone(s) to be bitter over - I'm just more vocal about what I don't like and have no qualms at giving my truthful, albeit tactless, opinion freely and quite often. I've been told this is one of my best and worst traits because I forget how to sugar coat things.
I have a tendency to be easily distracted and often time zone out when I really shouldn't. Some might say I have a tiny attention span - I just like to think that I'm really bad at multi-tasking. I have big goals for my future, but I find that my ambition can be hard to start up - if I can even find it on certain days. One might even go as far as to say that I'm lazy; I know my wife does quite frequently.
I love to learn, but I prefer to do it on my own tems, which has made my higher-learning stint long and tedious and also explains my four-year vacation in the middle. I once loved to read and write, but find being an English major has the tendency to zap that out of you - at least for the time being.
Aside from the fictional world that often entertains me, I also love to go to a local coffee shop and get a fancy cup of joe or a bar and get a decent glass of ale. Of course both of these are only enjoyable when in the midst of good company and nothing compliments a White Chocolate Mocha or a tall glass of Guinness like my close friends to discuss the meaning of life, philosophy, the existence of God or the latest episode of the Office.
I am happily married and have a baby boy that is the mirror image of me as a wee lad. Never thought myself much of the settling down type, but I find myself in the midst of family man and having no real qualms with it.
My best friend is a guy I've known for sixteen years and I can't think of any reall problems we've ever had. He has taught me to be more thoughtful while I've helped him become more forceful; plus anybody that can put up with my dripping sarcasm and cynical nature has to be a pal for life.
I'm more than willing to tell anyone where I came from and allow anyone, who wants, to be co-pilot in the next zany adventure in the sitcom that is my life.

con-man, more likely to talk himself out of
trouble than pull a rabbit out of a hat.
