J-Pros consisted of two college graduates from Seattle: Mercury & R'SENULL. Late 2004, the two emcee's were put together and signed by Joel Mallari (local producer & CEO of J8 Records). Early 2006, J-Pros teamed up with E-Drid & King Alexander to drop the "iFlow Mixtape". A few months after, J-Pros unleashed their debut album "Self-Titled", which was available on the internet and at local Seattle record stores (Tower Records, Sonic Boom Records, etc). J-Pros also released a music video for "Mocha Brown", their first single (which reached MySpace's top 10 music hits).
Unfortunately at the end of 2006, Mercury had to move to California (for personal reasons) and the group had to split. From 2004-2006, J-Pros performed at numerous locations like The Showbox, Nector Lounge, Fasa Jam, Seattle University, Barrio Fiesta, Meydenbauer Center, University of Washington, The Mirabeau Room, and more. J-Pros has also been featured on television shows HipHop 101, Mabuhay TV, and a TFC commercial.
