I grew up in East London with my parents and sister. My dad, George, worked as a taxi driver to support us.
At age of 14 my mum, Eileen, took me to singing classes. A year later, my teacher told me of an audition for a new girl band who searched for a fifth member. My dad took me to the audition and was very surprised when i got hired without a singing note.
So i joined Anika, Nikki, Linzi and Michelle in the girl band called Girl Thing. We released an album called "Girl Thing" and we got a top ten hit in the UK with "Last One Standing". I wanted to get out and study my profession a bit more, cause i was only 17 years old.
In 2002, two years after the band's split, I was chosen to play the role Debbie Dean in the TV soap Hollyoaks. This was a big step into my new career. In 2003 i started going with Westlife hunk, Kian Egan. I also got voted as FHM's Sexiest Soap star of 2003.
At the end of 2004 i quit Hollyoaks to try something different, i got a job in a new reality show called 'California Dreaming' but only half through i decided to go back home to Britain. In August 2005 i make a quick and final return to Hollyoaks.
