I miss ACTING! Someone take an acting class with me! Then after class we can complain to each other about how we're not as skinny as everyone else in the class and lick our wounds at The Olive Garden. I'm not changing that... that's still accurate, and I haven't been to the Olive Garden in a WHILE. But I also have a love of creative writing, and computer graphics/editing.
Most anyone. Not the homeless. I've had my fill of the homeless, I think. No offense to them, and I'm sorry if you're a fan, but I've woken up too many bums in front of my store to still be invested in how things turn out for them. I wish them well, truly. I do believe that everyone has a story and something to share. I live by the code that everyone I come into contact with can and will teach me something, if I'm listening closely enough.
Dating-wise... RIGHT THIS MOMENT I'm in the mood for some kind of lean, tall White/Italian/Latin guy whose hair is a little too long to be short, and who doesn't shave as often as he should. He wears jeans and t-shirts and makes a fool of himself but likes to laugh at himself. Can't drag his ass out of bed in the morning, but when it comes time to get things done, he buckles down and gets his shit together. He should have some dorky thing, like a tricycle or every Kirsten Dunst movie ever made, and refuses to be embarrassed about it no matter how much people laugh about it. And most importantly someone smart and perceptive about people and all their faceted games and craziness. Someone who can see past the bullshit. I really feel like the only one sometimes... but my friends are all getting better at picking up on everyone else's bullshit. But I need that in a date. That's just the mood I'm in right now. This may change. Stay tuned.

My Opening Sequence for my original gay soap opera currently in pre-production stages...Beyond the Horizon
I'm the last person in the world to get on the iPod bandwagon, but I'm on it! I got an iPod shuffle and it only took a month to figure out how to work the damn microscopic thing. I'm afraid I'll drop it and lose it like a contact lens. On the Shuffle: 112, Aimee Mann, Alicia Keys, The Arcade Fire, Beth Hart, Blur, Christina Aguilera, Coldplay, Collective Soul, Cree Summer, Death Cab for Cutie, Deftones, Devlins, Duncan Sheik, Eartha Kitt, Elysian Fields, Evanescence, Filter, Fiona Apple, Franz Ferdinand, Garbage, Goldfrapp, Goo Goo Dolls, Gwen Stefani, Hole, Hoobastank, Hooverphonic, Joydrop, Kidney Thieves, Linda Perry, Lisa Hall, Live, Ludacris, Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Massive Attack, Memento, Michal Towber, Missy Elliott, Moloko, Mono, Muse, N.E.R.D., Nikka Costa, Nina Simone, No Doubt, Norah Jones, NY Loose, Oasis, Pink Martini, Portishead, Seal, Sean Paul, Shamekia Copeland, Sia, Staind, Taja Sevelle, The Hives, The Killers, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Tori Amos, Type O Negative, Vanessa Carlton, ... And still collecting music as I type. Don't be mistaken... I know a handful of songs from each artist on this list. I don't know their personal history. I don't know what they all look like. I don't know the titles of all their albums. Just songs I've collected over time. But the tastes are pretty diverse.
The last one I saw was.... Pan's Labyrinth, which was actually quite good, despite having to read the entire movie via subtitles. Not too bad of a flick, though. Great effects, good performances, and decent writing. I LOVED Shortbus, and I saw it THREE TIMES in the theater. I NEVER do that. It was a truly inspired movie. Totally the best movie of my life, because I never feel so strongly about a movie that I want to take each and every one of my friends to see it in the theater, rather than just wait for the DVD. SEE SHORTBUS! SEE IT THRICE!!! I like superhero movies, good ones or cheesy ones, they're entertaining in their own way. I like comedies, suspense thrillers, psychological thrillers... I like gay movies. Not "gay" as in any type of slang for "stupid" or "ridiculous" movies, but "gay" as in homosexual movies. Gayer than Brokeback. Not as in porn. Not that I don't like porn. Not that I'm a porn fiend or anything... Not that I'm disrespecting if you happen to like porn. Cause whatever floats your boat, y'know?
My life, as it's currently set up, doesn't allow much time for television. When I have time, I keep up with my soap operas (General Hospital is NOT what it used to be... DAMN YOU, Sonny Corinthos!!! And All My Children is actually KILLING Dixie?!), and I was a HUGE fan of Six Feet Under on HBO. It's over now, but I taped them all from "On Demand" cable. So I'm watching from the beginning and loving the series all over again on tape because I'm NOT paying $100 for 13 episodes on DVD. Sorry. I also like "Weeds" on Showtime, that's a great show with a great cast. Trying to catch some old Queer as Folk on the Logo channel, but that damned Noah's Arc keeps coming on and ruining it!
This category's going to suck because I truly don't read. And Myspace profiles don't count as a "book" so I'm screwed.Okay. So I do read. Once, a few months back, though. Just one book. So far. It was called "Before I Got Here", and contains stories parents told of their kids' recollections of before they were born or conceived. When I was a little kid I told my mother a story about being born, and also remembered a knowing a brother in the womb that was never born, so I felt obliged to read the book. Finished it in under an hour and a half. And it was small pages. And lots of pictures.
Ummm... I don't really have a personal hero. But for the sake of being funny, I'll say Adam West. He worked the hell out of that Batman show in the 1960s. I guess my personal hero is me. Does that sound egotistical? I don't look in the mirror every morning and praise myself as my own hero, but I'm in charge of my life and don't seek inspiration from any famous person that I've never met. So I guess I'm my own hero. Hey, I'm being original! I love me.
