With such a wide range of music out there today it is best to describe Blue October on an emotional level and what better way to do that than taking quotes directly from the loyal followers that drive this Texas based band. On March 14th, 2006, Brando/Universal Records proudly releases "Foiled", the 5th cd from the members of this musically diverse band. When Blue October releases a cd it becomes an integral soundtrack to the listeners life. Like their previous releases the new songs take their passionately devoted listeners to places that other artists fear or lack the depth to tread.
"Foiled" is a lyrical landscape filled with honesty and courage. Justin Furstenfeld the lead singer of Blue October leaves nothing unsaid. He truly is one of our generations greatest poets. What's ugly becomes beautiful, what's sad becomes hopeful, and where other bands end, Blue October just begins .
The upcoming tour will give the band a chance to connect with new listeners who will discover that music can mean more. You can bet the believers who know what to expect will be out in full force to share the moment. While Justin leaves you hanging on every word the band powerfully expresses and paints each mood creating a true connection of tone and voice. This exchange between the band and the listeners is amazing to witness.
When Blue October takes the stage it's an event. The strong line-up of players includes : Justin Furstenfeld (lead vocals and guitar), Ryan Delahoussaye (violin, mandolin,piano, and vocals), Jeremy Furstenfeld on (drums and vocals), CB Hudson (guitar and vocals), and Matt Noveskey (bass and vocals).
