About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Low-Latent Inhibition ... enough said :-p
Not enough? Okay... Well, I work, pay bills, spend time with my girlfriend, and hang out with friends. That's it.
Still not enough? My current goal is to become debt free and move into a house (although an apartment will do) while I work on my next goal: finish college. I am going to be a teacher (one-day, LoL). I know, I know, not rich and fancy. But I consider it to be noble, rewarding, and a great contribution to society. Good enough?
No? Okay, I am a firm believer in honesty and trust. While anyone/everyone can slip every once in a while, a core belief and following of the two can really make a difference in your life. I also believe in happiness over money, but realistically know that "some" money helps make life easier (so don't take a job that pays a LOT of money, but you hate, and don't stay unemployed because it's "fun", LoL). I believe in focusing on the future, paying attention to the present, and remembering the past. Balance and Moderation (not extremism and obsession) are possibly the key to happiness. Now, if I could just find the lock...

My Interests

The Usual: movies, tv, internet, gaming, discussion (which sometimes leads to debates, hehe).

The Popular: clubbing, bars, friends' parties, swimming, roller-blading (once I can again... long story), and even dancing (although usually with alcohol in me, LoL).

The Unusual: game mechanics, writing (but not reading... long story), learning life lessons, and passing life lessons on to others (who will listen).

I'd like to meet:

Well, I've already met many, many, many, many... etc, etc... interesting people in my life. Anywhere from the homeless, to the famous, and all the variants inbetween. Nowadays, I just look forward to meeting those I can trust as a friend.

Music:

Let me just say I listen to almost everything. I rarely listen to hard-core gangsta rap or depressing country music (notice I said rarely... not never). Since the list is too long for me to list right now... my favorite "types" of music are:

Darkwave
Industrial
Electronic
Alternative
Rock
Swing
Jazz
Blues
Classical
(yes, even classical)

Movies:

Like Music... too many to list. I love movies. Unlike many people, I always look for 1 redeeming quality in a movie: story, special effects, or acting. As long as there is at least 1, the other 2 can suck and I'm still glad I saw it. If it has none, well, hopefully I saw it with friends and we had a good "laugh" making fun of it together (in which case, still glad I saw it). My favorite types of movies are:

Japanese Animé
Vampyre Movies
Science Fiction
Comedy

Oh, and I don't know if there is a name for this type of movie genre, but the type that is a mystery/suspense with multiple plot twists and a messed up ending that you never see coming. Examples are:

Resevoir Dogs
Devil's Advocate
The Usual Suspects
12 Monkeys
The Sixth Sense
Fight Club
American Psycho
etc, etc, etc.

Television:

Ahh, television, another favorite. I'll just be nice and list some of my favorite current series (and those I can remember):

Lost
Prison Break
Smallville
Charmed
Family Guy
Nip Tuck
Seventh Heaven
(shush)
Rescue Me
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Battlestar Galactica
(the new one)
Farscape (will be missed)
Everwood (I said, shush)
Supernatural
That 70's Show
Tripping The Rift
Kindred The Embraced
(but it could have been better)
Gilmore Girls (seriously, stop laughing, LoL)
Firefly (another one that will be missed)
Angel

Okay, obviously, I could go on, and on. But I can't finish without definitely giving kudos to the many, many Japanese Animé that gets played on TV thanks to Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) and G4/Tech TV (Animé Unleashed).

Books:

If you knew me, you'd know that I don't really like to read books (but ironically, I do like to write). Lots of things attribute to this, like always hearing "the book was better", and using any available reading time to read technical documents, technology news, game mechanics, and many other factors.

That is not to say I don't read. College always has required reading (which I have always enjoyed). But, my favorite book/series I've ever read was the Dragonlance series (kudos to those who know what it is/was).
