Movies, Reading, Writing, Travel, Sex... the usual stuff
People who really get that it's all made up and we can do anything we want. Do you understand the basic concepts of physics but still find the Three Stooges a laugh riot? Are you bored with what everyone seems to think is so cool and important? Do you have this undeniable feeling that there is so much more than this? Can you show me a point of view that I've never seen before?
Movie Soundtracks (they're like mix tapes), classic rock, soul, jazz, disco, reggae, and anything fun and unusual. I'm trying to compile an album's worth of songs with my name in it. The best one yet is "Hot Biscuits and Sweet Marie" by NRBQ
I used to watch a lot of television but there's very little worth sitting still for on the boob tube these days. I hate reality TV since there's nothing real about it. I like some of the other HBO shows like Entourage and Big Love. Flight of the Conchords is a little slice of genius. I think I watch the HBO shows because if I miss them, I can watch them On Demand. I never bothered with Tivo so I don't have that option with network shows. There were a couple of shows that I caught later on DVD and I'm sad that there are no more episodes of Farscape and Freaks and Geeks. I'm moving on to catching all the episodes of Heroes now.
I am a registered bibliophile and I have a t-shirt that says "Books. The Original Laptop." I often read several books simultaneously and as of this update I'm currently shifting between "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini and "God Games: What Do You Do Forever?" by Neil Freer. A book I wish everyone would read, just to stir up discussions, is "Ismael" by Daniel Quinn or just read anything by Zecharia Sitchin. He blows my mind.
Socrates, Galileo, Timothy Leary, Bill Hicks, Zecharia Sitchin... anyone who pisses off the status quo. I want to bear Steven Colbert's children and have Jon Stewart as the kids' godfather.
