About Me

I talk crap, ramble and repeat myself most of the time. Much like an old person. I also share the old person trait of always having sweets in my pockets/bag and being incredibly irritable. I've been doing Yoga for years to try to cure this moodiness, but still don't seem to be that relaxed. Or bendy.. I have quite a temper on me - it's like the Incredible Hulk without the greenness. Bike rack incident anyone? I like herbal tea and cookies and mmmmmuffins. I hate cheese and tomato pizza because it's boring. I like jigsaws, much to the horror of many people, but find the 3D ones a bit too challenging. My first love was Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I'm aware he's not entirely human but it's personality that counts. And I was 8). Real men play guitar, sing about girls and shoot stuff. I used to make lists of stuff I like but now I like pretty much everything (except the word 'sarnie') so that's become futile. But I still write lists. I enjoy pretending to be a detective or secret agent. One day I'd like to be a detective like my hero, Sherlock Holmes, but I don't think a deer-stalker hat would suit me and I can't play violin. Yet. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Glamming up for nights on the town; dancing around like an idiot & not caring; wearing fabulous high heels; acting really arrogant (I'm not) because it's quite funny; doodling on anything; taking lots & lots of photos; back-combing my hair to make it mega-big; charity shop shopping for bargains; trivial pursuit & jigsaw puzzles (you may laugh, but I can't think of anything better to do on a hungover sunday); pic 'n' mix sweets; plants that don't require much effort to look after; non-offensive words like 'criminy' & 'gosh'; tacky flowery shirts; drinking red red wine; POWER walking; men in bars who play guitars...

I'd like to meet:

Sherlock Holmes (I do know he's fictional, by the way)

Movies:

Can't stand all the pretentious films people pretend to love, but I'm pretty certain there are a few in this list.. i Heart Huckabees, Magnolia, Garden State, Alice in Wonderland, Purple Rain (I love Prince, even though he's rubbish at acting), the Lost Boys, Spirited Away, High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine.., Spun, Labrynth, Memento, All About Eve, Rain Man, Amelie,My Life Without Me, Somersault, Lords of Dogtown, Citizen Kane, the Doors, Manhattan, Blue Velvet, Annie Hall, Sky Blue, Stand By Me, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Mulholland Drive, Howl's Moving Castle, Edward Scissorhands, Kalifornia, Detroit Rock City, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Pan's Labrynth, Sin City, Rear Window, Velvet Goldmine, Jason and the Argonauts, Cinema Paradiso, Three Colours Red, Clash of the Titans, Il Postino, True Lies..

Television:

I don't watch much tv (mainly due to the lack of an aerial on my room and the lack of anything worth watching) but I hate to admit I couldn't live without Neighbours. I also like Peep Show, Malcolm in the Middle, Alan Partridge, League of Gentlemen, the Office, Six Feet Under, and of course, Midsomer Murders, Murder She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder... just crappy detective shows with the word murder in the title in general. My favourite programme of all time was the Mysterious Cities of Gold - just loved it, wish it hadnt' been axed.Yep, I hardly watch any tv at all..

Books:

Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Dodi Smith, Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Rankin, Nick Hornby, Irvine Welsh, Tom Robbins, The Grimm Brothers and Martha O'Connor, to name a few authors whose books I like to read.

Heroes:

the majority of fictional detectives and anyone who can successfully get a brush through my hair
