KnuckleCity formed in January 2003, from the ashes of another very fun, but not very productive band when our former drummer Vince and guitarist Lee learned that Delaware Hardcore veteran Fred Blood was interested in starting a new project. Since they both liked Fred's style in previous bands, they both jumped at the chance. We started writing songs, which was interesting considering all our different influences and ended up with something that has been described with words like "old school influence" "like a mix between old 25 ta life and new madball" "kinda like crown of thornz." Whether or not we filled those shoes, we all had fun.
We had songs we liked, a funny name, we just needed a bassplayer. Enter Kevin. play some shows, etc. kevin moved, in comes Aaron, he's the man, etc. In between all that bass player nonsense, we were also joined by Dan, another guitar player, who brings a different writing approach as well as the opportunity to get a "more full" sound. Fred then left to pursue other interests (i.e. life, family, etc.), and Aaron moves to the vocal spot, and Kevin is back from Chicago full time. Our songs got a bit heavier, still keeping some of the old upbeat feel. I am forced to use the cliche` "there's no bands that really sounds like us, so I can't list any" because although, there probably are bands that we sound like, I cannot think of any. A little time goes by and Vince decides to join another local band, Dead and Buried. So for about a year we were left without a drummer and kinda disappeared. Now we're back, ready to go with a new drummer Chad, some new, very powerful songs and ready to dominate!
