Currently Reading Finished: Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Series comprised of "The Lost Kingdom" and "The Pale Horsemen". These two historical novels integrate some essential fiction (for the sake of the story) but are almost entirely historically accurate. Following the reign of King Alfred the Great of England from roughly 870 to 910, these books follow Uhtred, a Saxon raised by Danish invaders, and his life as a warrior, fighting said invaders. Really quite fantastic.
Finished:- "Voices of a People's History of the United States"
- "Adobe Encore DVD in the Studio"
- "The Screenwriter Within", a book written by an NYU professor which suprisingly re-affirmed a lot of the skills I've already learned!
-"Good Will Hunting", the screenplay is suprisingly different from the actual production shoot, it was an interesting read.
- "Stephen King: On Writing", seriously one of the best books on writing i've ever read.
- "Writing Short Films", a pretty self explanatory book that has helped me quite a bit lately.
- "Burton on Burton" which wsa a psuedo-autobiography about Tim Burton, his films and his thought processes.
- I finished a book analyzing the male role in evolution, ie if we are even necessary, called "The Mating Game".
- I read "President Kennedy", a biography of Kennedy's presidency based from the notes, telephones calls, and other records from the time, offering a very unique perspective on a very well done subject.
- "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene, a book about applied quantum physics and the history of quantum theory.
- "The Search for Strings, Superstrings, and the Theory of Everything" by John Gribbin.
