Being a Mom teaches me many things... like... when I broke my arm trying to drop in (skateboarding) the half pipe... I suddenly became the coolest Mom on the block. Peanut butter sandwiches DO stick to the ceiling. Alvin and the Chipmunks singing the "Purple People Eater" 15 times in a row CAN cause brain damage. Red Koolaid and M & M's turn children into monkeys... and... the easiest way to embarrass a 12 year old boy is to turn up the Alvin and the Chipmunks song his little sisters are listening to as he is getting out of the car at school. But mainly... being a Mom has taught me to be more patient... and that it is important to keep a sense of humor and look at the bright side.
I'm a Mom, first and foremost... to three children... two little girls ages 6 and 9... and a big 13 year old boy. It is my mission to brighten the lives of those that I meet by doing those little things that can brighten the darkest of moods... a genuine smile... a helping hand... a positive outlook... spreading that little piece of light from one to another. Keeping in mind that all people are the same, deep inside... regardless of their circumstances or choices they have made in their lives... they are still people... and they deserve respect.
I'm also a published author... Google my book "Life of an Indigo" by Beverly Hutchinson Terry... or go to my book site to see my book and my bio, etc.
I saw this neat link on Absinthe Minded's page and took a quiz that assigns a card to your personality.
That was kind of fun...
You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
