CD COVERS
I have recently shot covers for several forthcoming CDs by various Indie music artists. I will be promoting each artist on this page as the CDs are released.
I am currently booking new shoots with music artists.
ARTISTIC / PRINT WORK
ON NEWSTANDS NOW:
I've been asked by Hudson Valley Arts and Culture magazine Roll to do their feature page, Roll Portrait for the second time to date. The assignment allows me to showcase a unique image of whomever I choose.
For this issue, I selected an image I had shot of Cantinero, a great singer / songwriter from the UK, currently residing in Catskill, NY. The image was ingeniously edited by the music artist himself.

Flurries of contestant hopefuls have been submitting images
for the Official Ms. Muddy Cup T-shirt Girl Search Contest.
The contest date and location will be announced (as well as the evening's MC, judges and entertainment) within the next few weeks.
MUSIC LICENSING
I'm working closely with a new music licensing company on recruiting composers for Film, Television and other markets. The company is seeking original content for marketing and placement.
Working with music artists as a fotog gives me direct access to a lot of undiscovered talent and I'm happy to be a part of promoting their work to a potentially larger market.
PHOTO MEETS GRAPHIC
I have recruited the Graphic Design skills of Cecilia St. King who is also a renowned Hudson Valley singer / songwriter. We have teamed up to create product for various applications, including music artists and magazine print work.
Ms. St. King has just completed recording her new album and our first collaboration can be seen on the CD cover. (Release date TBA.)

About My Work:
My work is the result of a passion for creativity and being spontaneous. My style is very distinct, clean and simple. I specialize in "seeing light" before placing the subject into the scene. Most of my images are created using only available light.
Every photo shoot is a new experience and I treat each with a fresh approach. It takes both subject and photographer to create a great image. Rapport is important and I welcome the input of the person with whom I am working.
People and Still Life are my subjects of choice. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the essence of the subject and strive to make a statement thru the image in some way.
I have heard that an artist's work is really a self portrait. I'd like to think that my work speaks for itself and says something about me as a creative artist.
Current Artistic Direction:
Thru my work mainly with music artists, my style is becoming increasingly more abstract; using camera tilts and angles as well as more dramatic, natural lighting. My interest in Fashion Editorial has contributed to this as well.
Every artist's work evolves and goes thru stages. I have come a long way from the simplistic Bikini-clad-model-against-a-custom-car style foto shoot. Altho I do not mean to imply that there is anything wrong with this type of work, it's just not very challenging.
Being a musician myself, I can relate to music artists and listening to their music gives me visuals that I will translate into a foto image to be used on a CD or for promotion.
At one time, I worried about "developing a style". Style develops (and changes) on its own over time and thru practice. One never needs to worry about such a thing. This applies to any creative expression.
