About Me

theHotness Grrrl is all about promoting and biggin'-up multiculti dames doing big thangs! To that end she is the editor of a totally fly, wonderfully groundbreaking zine called theHotness . It's so... well, hot because when we started it dang near 7 years ago it was the only place online that celebrated young urban grrrls that wasn't all on some fashion, make-up, gotta-have-a-man ish. It was and still is about real, fresh authentic sistas that value creativity, individuality and passion. We've featured a number of fascinating ladies including Jill Scott, Sade, Sarah Jones, Cree Summer, Margaret Cho, Amel Larrieux, Jean Grae, Dionne Farris, Cedella Marley, and MeShell NdegeOcello.
theHotness Grrrl is also the witty, sometimes comical, always insightful, in-your-face blog that recounts the experiences, passions and pet-peeves of a New York City-based urbanista on a mission to be a better writer, a new music master-blaster and a wonderfully brilliant razor-packing, MAC LipGlass wearing feminista. theHotness Grrrl tells the stories seldom featured in Vogue or Essence. She represents for the grrrls rarely seen on MTV and BET. She keeps it real authentic and fresh cause that's what being theHotness is all about.
