About NonHuman Intelligence
Hip hop is dead. Or is it? Well either way you see it NonHuman Intelligence (NHI) has traveled here from a far way place in space to well, um...bring the music back! Currently NHI is based out of Los Angeles, California. NHI takes pride in creating great music with an even greater lyrical content. As Imani of The Pharcyde put it, ..NHI has a lot of energy. They are a breath of fresh air, and NHI is exactly what Hip hop is missing...Presently NHI is in the process of finishing up their debut album, Music to listen to while vacationing on Earth. They have been diligently working at the Engine Room in Los Angeles along side Dan Sanez their engineer. NHI is also in the process of placing their first four songs on iTunes. They are also planning on issuing limited edition shirts this summer to promote the arrival of the new album.
NonHuman Intelligence came into existence back in 1986 when three young childhood friends had a dream. Abyss, Prizm, and Dimension meet in school and quickly became an inseparable trio. As they grew, so did their dream and passion for making music. In the late 1990's NHI formed a group with other local artist called The Mystics. Mean Street released The Mystics album, Remnants of a Lost Culture in 2001. This project gave NHI the chance to perform with some well-established artist such as, The Pharcyde, Black Eyed Peas, and others. In fact, NHI created a track called Chain Reaction on The Mystics album, which featured Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and Imani of The Pharcyde. Not long after that NHI teamed up with Active Ride Shop and Circa shoes to record a single. With the help of Active and Circa they created a track about skateboarding titled 5th Element that was sold exclusively at all Active stores. NHI also has a good history of performances. They have performed locally in Los Angeles as well as San Francisco, and Miami. They have also shared the stage with KRS-One on numerous occasions, and have managed to maintain their originality by performing with a live band instead of the usual DJ.
NHI is taking pride in finishing up their debut album and getting it out to the public. They intend to continue getting their name out there by doing self-promotion while searching for a recording contract or distribution deal. NHI will also begin doing shows again upon the completion of their album. In the mean time they will continue to promote using Myspace, iTunes and word of mouth. As stated by Leland Sharp of Sharp Faces Entertainment, ..NHI..s style is timeless... So, the guys are ready to make NonHuman Intelligence a household name.
