Who is Jack?
To be presice, I am jack. Nice to meet you. I live in a crap-town with absolutely nothing to do. I am not bothered too much by it though; I can entertain myself just fine. In order to entertain myself I enjoy listening to music, going to shows, and playing my many instruments. I am just an everyday “jackâ€, I love my friends . I also enjoy playing guitar, bass and the drums. I will have to say that I enjoy the drums the most; they are just better for a spaz like me. I am not very good at spelling or grammar, it doesn’t really bother me either. If you dislike reading jumbled-up and mis-spelled words, I would strongly recommend deleting me. It won't emotionally scar me. Yeah...So. I am in love with life! I never really understood this massive "I hate my life and want to cut myself" perspective on something as beautiful as life. I understand that life is filled with hardships and trials and you can trust me I have had my fair share of those but, I do not hate my life for it. Ya know? I have a very odd sense of humor, it ir rather strange. I love lame jokes or jokes that make a person go "AWWW" they are the best! I mean I even find some words funny and they give me a good giggle, like the word, "Pudding!" I mean, I know whoever is reading this just smiled, it is just something about the word. I don’t know what though? So. There is a lot more to read. If you are going to continue reading, I would recommend getting comfortable.
Music, My Passion
I am extremely into music, and what can i say? I like it all, except rap. I just do not understand rap. All it consists of is some guys crying about how hard their life is and then they talk about all the money they have. It is just one big contradiction. Oh and by the way. Just because I do not like rap and hip hop does not make me racist I have no idea where people get that idea from. That is just plain ignorant. Anyway, I love post-hardcore bands the most, Like The Used. I also am infatuated with bands like UnderOATH. They are just so good, I have no idea what makes them so good! They just are! I I am not only limited to that genre though I like all types of metal and I like a lot of experimental stuff too. I appreciate older rock too, like The Who and the Doors. Those people are just so significant in the rock world today, they need all of the credit they can get. As any person who truly loves music, I am obsessed with going to concerts and shows. I have been to a number of shows but, I am nowhere near where I plan to be in my show-going evolution. I love warped tour! It ir probably the greatest thing ever; there are 50 or more bands playing in one day at one venue. It is wild! I also like the smaller shows at places like the Brewery and the Soapbox. Great atmosphere, well, I love it a lot of people do not. There is just something about the energy you get when you are standing in a crowd rocking out to music as loud as your ears can bear it. It is quite frankly, a head-trip, for a lack of a better term. As you have read in my About Me section, you can see that I play many instruments, I am not the most talented by any means. But I am learning and getting better every day. I m not in a band. I feel like you must pass a certain point before you can consider your-self in a band and I have yet to reach that peak. I play the guitar, bass, and drums. I am a lot bigger on drums than anything else. I really do think I will keep that hobby my entire life. I have a Gretsch Mod 4 piece set. It is as good as I can get at my current economic stance. It is nice though. It plays a lot better than my former set and that is a plus! I love my drums and I hope that this hobby evolves into a career. I can dream.
My Religion
I am a Christian. I know that is a very loose term now-a-days, so let me specify. I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ as documented in the Bible. I am heart broken to see all these people in the world who claim to be a Christian and they preach HATE. I mean, i don't even feel like we are reading the same Bible. When I read the Word I see Jesus, as the perfect example of excepting ALL people, not just those who you think are acceptable. There are countless examples of acceptance found in the Bible. You are to love everybody! Black, White, Mexican, Asian, Latino, Homosexual, Striate, Bi, or any other label you can even comprehend. Every single human being on the face of this planet is a sinner and we are all equally sinners. You are the same as a prostitute on the street corner who sells herself so she can buy cocaine. Jesus said we are to love one another, sinful or pure. Please people! Do not base your theories on Christianity from the propaganda you see on TV or the hypocrisy shown in millions of churches across the world. I do not even want you to judge it off of me. Just look at Jesus, the man who sacrificed his very life for you! I am serious, if you are curious about what I believe and what it is all about just message me.
My Politics
I am what most people call a political activist or they call me a prick. You can choose either. I am not very pleased with the way that our country is choosing to go about foreign policy. I freaking want them to understand that if a country wants peace, they can get it. The secret is to tighten up your freaking domestic policy and tighten up your homeland! We do not need to go to another country and bomb the mess out of them and expect the poor, homeless refugees to clean up our mess. I mean, you may think that America is a merciful super-power. Defeating big “meannies†like Sadam. I mean, I am not going to argue with you; Sadam was a very mean guy! He did technically commit genocide, but that was not the reason we supposedly went to Iraq was it? Last time I checked it was the big and powerful WMD’s. Now, call me old-fashion but I tend to think that when over 100 weapons inspectors sent out by the UN and the president himself say that “There are NO WMD’Sâ€â€ I tend to believe them, they do know what they are doing. We are in an unjust war and I am not pleased with all of the money and lives this war is costing and we are accomplishing NOTHING. I do not expect all of you to believe every word I say, I want you to broaden your horizons and learn more. Fight closed-mindedness! Don’t believe every thing you hear! Always Question! I am not able to cover my entire political standpoint in a one paragraph statement on freaking myspace. I want you to ask me questions, debate with me! I will do it, if you are down with it! I love a good argument.
My School
I am a rather good student. I am not very book smart though. I am just not made that way. I love to learn but I am not very pleased with the current learning environment I am in. My school is not very wise in their administrational decisions. There is just too much favoritism. If you are a basketball player you can do whatever you want. The rules just do not abide to you! It is that simple. Our school will kick a person out because someone said they might of kinda did something wrong yet, a basketball player will break the first rule in our handbook and it is only 3 days suspension! I mean the tobacco policy clearly states in our handbook* that any possession of tobacco on campus results in expulsion and this kid was smoking on campus, during school! And when he was confronted about it all they asked was “Hey, are you playing in the game tonight?†Once he responded yes, he was set free with a slap on the wrist. Yet when a person at Grace may-have-kinda-sorta-maybe did something wrong, he was expelled. I am serious! That makes no sense at all. Frankly, it is one of the dumbest, most obscure attempts at leadership I have ever heard made in a long time. We were not always the wicked vial school we were today, where everyone hates their teachers and nobody can stand the administration. Back when Mr. Davidson ran this place, basketball was NOT first priority and we were not stuck with the students that got expelled from other schools and happen to be able to shoot a basketball. Our administration is just stupid when it comes to some of their policies. Do not get me wrong, I am close friends with a lot of people at Grace but it just bothers me how some people get the iron fist just for being tardy yet, an athlete will get a pop on the wrist for vandalism! It is just stupid. I have written a few blogs* on this subject, so enjoy!
Jack and Myspace
I used to be crazy obsessed with mysace. I had so many awesome ideas and goals concerning myspace. I wanted to get to 1500 friends, I got on a train and it happened in a week. I wanted 1000 comments; I just spent a few days ... BANG! Got all of them in like three days! Now i just use myspace as an email. It is a really helpful tool but, I just do not have time anymore for it. Between school, games, work, and all the other things I have to do I have a hard time just sitting down at the computer and responding to my comments now. It is really a pain, to be honest. Just because I am writing all of this dose not mean I want you all to think that I am stuck up and think I am too good for you because of any stupid reason. I promise you, I will respond to you and never be cocky about it. Okay? I really do not understand the myspace culture though. I mean, people get myspace husbands and wives for crying out loud. That is just stupid! You cannot go out over myspace. That is almost impossible! I think it is dumb anyway. And myspace DRAMA that is just immature, it is a computer it is not even real life! Do not get all worked up over a lot of nothing! That is just stupid too! Now, on a more happy note. I love to blog! Seriously! You could visit my blog home and view a lot of my blogs and look at all sorts of fun thing to do and play with! I hope all of you get to read my blogs and fully enjoy them! If anyone has any ideas for what they want me to blog, just let me know. I will probably consider. I like to hear what people think about them too. My Second Love. Traveling!
I love to travel! There is not one thing more awesome in this world than to broaden you horizons and taka trip to a foreign place and learn about there culture and how life goes about there. I do not travel as much as I'd like, but I do plan to do a lot more of it! I recently took a trip to New York City and I fell in love. I want to move there someday, but I am scared I could never afford it! I love everything about that city though. The nightlife, the atmosphere, the skyline, and the attractions. I love Broadway and Times Square; they are probably two of the most astounding areas in the entire United States! I have not only been to New York I have also visited: The Bahamas, The United States Virgin Islands, The Dominican Republic, Key West, Halifax, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Nova Scotia, Canada, I have been to countless states in the United States. I mean, I love to travel. I cannot wait until I get to do more of it. It is just a rush.
