D-Nice aka Darnell Almanzar was born on March 19, 1987 and is a native of Hempstead, NY. He is one of the founders and co-captain of the rap group NRR (Niggaz Real Reckless). His rapping style consists of suave word play and creative punchline. "I'm the kind of rapper that likes to make people think about what I said. Then when they figure it out, they smile." They are in the process of making their first official mixtape which will drop in early August.Growing up in the streets of Hempstead, NY, nothing came easy to him. Everything he got, he worked extremely hard for. That shows his desire when he is in the booth. Growing up with four brothers helped D-Nice gain his competitive edge that he has when he is killing people on the battling scene. Other than rapping, D-Nice is also a college student. He is a sophomore at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He is majoring in English and has plans to become a high school teacher. Knowing that a record deal is not his priority, D-Nice puts all of his time to his education. That helps him maintain his good grades and sustain his scholarships.He is also a member of Livingstone College Track and Field Team. He was recently awarded the Most Improved Award for his outstanding Cross Country season in which he had the second fastest time on the team. In an interview with a local reporter in Salisbury, NC, he spoke about his future goals. "One of my goals next year is to achieve All-CIAA status and win MVP of my team, which are all reachable goals. With great training during my Summer workouts I believe that I will have a great season.
