About Me

Born and raised in Chicago, I spent much of my life pursuing my passion of filmmaking. To this end, I attended Columbia College Chicago, the largest film school in the Midwest, where I acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Film/Video Production in Spring of 2002.In 1998, I co-founded Mr. Boy Productions , an LA-based independent film company where I serve as Head of Production.I currently live in Northern California, where I teach Communication Studies at San Jose State University.Come visit my blog! The idealistic speechwriter is well-liked by just about everyone. He's known for his excellent writing, sense of humor, and tendency to be klutzy. Although being younger than the rest of the staff, he's often treated as such, much to his dismay.

My Interests

I enjoy long walks on the beach...scented candles, fresh rose petals on silk sheets...sleeping with the windows open...oh wait.Seriously though, I'm a lifelong movie buff, with a DVD collection that takes up far more space than I can really afford, and I also enjoy drawing and reading when I'm not otherwise engaged.Oh, and monkeys. I like monkeys. They're funny.

I'd like to meet:

Friends, colleagues, cohorts, compatriots, and the like.

Music:

Pretty much all kinds of pop and rock. Phil Collins and Genesis, Tears for Fears, etc. If it's from the '80s, I probably like it. I also love The Moody Blues. Oh, and movie scores. John Williams, James Newton Howard, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, etc.

Movies:

The GODFATHER Trilogy, PLANET OF THE APES (the original, good one), SUPERMAN...that's my top three. I also love THE FUGITIVE, BRAVEHEART, the STAR WARS flicks, the MATRIX Trilogy and THE LORD OF THE RINGS. There's more, of course, but that's off the top of my head.

Television:

It's all about LOST, baby! Also, THE WEST WING has a permanent place in my personal hall-of-fame. After that, 24, THE SHIELD, and CSI (original flavor). For a laugh, I rarely go wrong with Conan O'Brien or Jon Stewart. And THE SIMPSONS. Always THE SIMPSONS.
