About Me

My name is Angie. While a student at Alabama, I met my husband in Feb. 1990 and he proposed on our second date. I have been very happily married since 1990 and gave birth to two beautiful babies (both boys). One of my sons had complicated medical problems and lives with Jesus now. Currently, my husband and I are raising a young son who dearly loves sports (football, baseball and basketball). Through the joy of marriage, I also had the privilege to help raise a daughter. We live in Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!) and that's all you need to know right now.Let me explain my headline. Life is about choices and each choice we make will provide a consequence. We literally have hundreds of choices to make every day and we hope that each consequence is enjoyable, positive, and/or rewarding. Everyone has challenges in life. Success in any situation depends on how we CHOOSE to look at the situation and spend our time. We can dwell on the circumstance and not go anywhere or we can choose to do something about it and move forward. Every day when we awake, we can choose to have a great day or we can choose to let things bring us down. What type of day would you rather have? The same is true in difficult situations. Life is a precious GIFT from God and every day is full of surprises. (There are no guarantees.) Do you think that may be why we live in the present? Being positive, happy, and productive is a "choice" that we make every single day. Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to see beyond the imperfections! God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but HE did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way. We show our love and faith in Jesus through our choices. Trust Him. He cares about you. Pray about everything. CHOOSE to be positive and enjoy life! You will be happier in the long run and may live longer since being happy reduces stress. (Poem: We have two ends with a common link. With one we sit and one we think. Success depends on which we CHOOSE. Heads you win ... tails you loose.) Don't be sad while sitting in your sorrow. Pick your head up and CHOOSE to have a GREAT day!

My husband, my parents and my oldest son, Brock (12/4/1991 - 12/8/1995). Brock, named after St. Louis Cardinal great - Lou Brock, was such a precious and tough young man until his little body became tired and just could not continue any longer. He was 4 years old for 4 days. Although Brock never spoke a word due to his medical limitations, he touched numerous lives ... especially mine. I do not talk about him often but I think about him and look at his picture every single day. He is my inspiration and the driving force behind my career to raise money for children who are medically challenged and less fortunate than others. I feel SO honored that God trusted us and blessed our home with such a special child who displayed the purest, most beautiful, unconditional love ALL the time. Brock taught me so much about: myself (including my strengths), what is really important in life, my personal relationship with God, strengthened my faith, how to listen for heavenly messages, how to live life in general, the importance of family and caring for others. He was, and will always be, my very own special Angel.
