MaddLatin Recordz, created in the summer of 2003 in Passaic, NJ, has been on a mission to bring underground artists together to create new and different varieties of music within the hip hop, reggaeton, and merengue genres. An experiment that began between a few friends in a local basement studio has culminated into an explosion of music that has caught the ears and attention of audiences in the North Jersey and New York areas, and around the world. With a lineup consisting of two energetic and witty reggaeton and hip hop artists, Mickey C and Mic Massive, and a charismatic and dynamic merengue group, Exclusivo this label is sure to expand their horizons and achieve their dreams.
MaddLatin Recordz headlining merengue group, has made great strides thus far. This Dominican artists, Jose Exclusive Francisco, continue to perform in local New York and New Jersey nightclubs and festivals. They are a merengue band, but their image and style consists of traditional merengue mixed with modern urban jazz and hip hop. When performing live they are accompanied by their band members, rightfully named the Dream Team, who have helped turn nightclubs and festivals upside down.
Next on the agenda is up and coming hip hop and reggaeton artist, Mic Massive, who has followed in his familys footsteps and expanded his horizons to become an impressive and well-known lyricist. He is as versatile as his own experiences. With beats also produced by MaddLatins own family, he is lyrically inclined with witty punch lines, impeccable timing, and an inclusive old-school vibe. He shares his feelings on topics such as family, friends, relationships, and even death and predictions. His mix tape is currently in the works and awaiting release date.
