NeMi (In The Studio!)

The band began with 3 different individuals, in 3 different churches, but one dream.
Ne-Mi is a combination of 2 Russian words "not" and "us". The band's concentration is not to get famous or be known, but for God to get famous and be known to people who do not know Him yet.
Yuriy (acoustic and vocals) was a worship group leader at a small church in Salem; after a couple failed attempts of starting a band, Yuriy enjoyed just writing songs and left the rest up to the Lord.
On the other side of Salem, Ruvim (bass) periodically played with a group of guys at his church for youth group...Ruvims' brother - Sergey, tried to start up a band aswell, however, the Lord took him in a different direction and all plans were broken. But the dream of being part of a band never left his heart.
Close by, Eugene (drummer) played for his churchs' worship teams and was a part of a couple start-up attepts to start a band....however, just as with all the other members, everything came to a dead end. But the dream of being part of a band never left his heart.
The worship team at Yuriys' church needed musicians to help out in worship. The old musicians all quit for one reason or another, so by word of mouth, Yuriy heard about Ruvim and Eugene. Both were excited and eager to help out and praise the Lord. After a while, they kept jamming together here and there and they felt that the spirit of God was leading them in the same direction.
Yuriy introduced the guys to the songs that he had written and they practiced together and played a show in early 2007. They felt that the music and lyrics need to reach hearts outside of their city, so they found a recording studio. However, another problem hit the young band...money. Since they were all students and only one of them had a job, they prayed for help to God. Out of nowhere came a $1000 donation within a week. That miracle gave the young musicians faith that they were on the right track for God.
In the beginning of 2008 the band began looking for an electic guitar player...they prayed and had faith that the Lord will not leave them hanging.
Daniil, a close friend of Eugene soon filled the position of electric guitarist and Ne Mi turned into what it is today!
At this time the first $1000 had run out in the studio...the band prayed and had faith that the Lord had money for His projects...another $1000 donation came within 4 days.
Today, Ne-Mi is finishing up their EP album called "Vernis Domoy" which translated into english means "Come Back Home."
