The Peoples Princess

About Me

Diana often gave her attention to those most common people would have no association with. She was famous for her love of children and issues concerning them. One of Diana's most significant aspirations came during a visit to an AIDS hospital ward. Standing among AIDS stricken patients, Diana reached out in a compassionate gesture that deeply touched many, and probably shocked and enraged some. Without the protective gloves, Diana took the hand of a man dying of AIDS and embraced another; all with a smile that was captured on film to assure the moment lived forever. One of Diana's last efforts was the abolition of anti-personnel landmines. Diana wore a flack-jacket and face shield to tour the mine-infested countryside of the foreign land. She visited primitive hospitals where children lay recovering from the loss of one or more limbs because of a landmine. She saw others learning to use their new prosthetic limbs. This love for all people will be Diana's legacy.Diana felt she had an obligation as a princess. She sacrificed her privacy and personal life, yet she was welcomed wherever she went because those she visited knew she was coming to help them, not to judge or condemn them. They could see the reality in her eyes, hear it in her voice, and feel it in her touch.
I'am so glad I can be a part of keeping Dianas legacy alive this page is to remind us that there is hope and kindness, although Dianas work on earth is done she has left us a path to follow and learn from all she did and keep her work going is what she would have wanted each of us to do.Be kind to each other reach out and help someone donate your time to helping the homeless and the underprivileged, we the people can keep Diana alive in our hearts by taking time out and giving back what she gave to us as the peoples Princess. a

My Interests

Diana, Princess of Wales, formerly Lady Diana Frances Spencer, was born on 1 July 1961 at Park House near Sandringham, Norfolk. She was the youngest daughter of the then Viscount and Viscountess Althorp, now the late (8th) Earl Spencer and the late Hon. Mrs Shand-Kydd, daughter of the 4th Baron Fermoy.Lady Diana was educated first at a preparatory school, Riddlesworth Hall at Diss, Norfolk, and then in 1974 went as a boarder to West Heath, near Sevenoaks, Kent. At school she showed a particular talent for music (as an accomplished pianist), dancing and domestic science, and gained the school's award for the girl giving maximum help to the school and her schoolfellows.

I'd like to meet:

Lady Diana was truely a great Lady... and it is quite a tragedy, that she was taken from this life so young in age... With so much left undone... There are so many things that can be said about the Princess... She was warm, friendly, loving, caring... She was the "People's Princess" and was loved dearly. Not only by her close friends and family, but by those who only knew of her as well. She touched many hearts along her journey... and she will be greatly missed. Please continue Princess Diana's work One of her last campaigns... Was with the Red Cross... I feel sure if she were here... She would be there raising funds.. Helping the homeless... Comfoting those in pain And doing all she could to help.. We can make a difference In her memory.. Give Blood.. Give money.. Give your time..Diana... Called Home...Sometimes in life we wonder Why the dearest and the best Are sometimes taken from us As.. In some great Master test God doesnt give a reason When, He calls his children home But one thing I am sure of Is.. We need never feel alone.. For as an earthly father calls His child in for the day So God calls to His children In His gentle loving way.Come home dear Diana.. Your work on earth is done.. Take our hands dear daughter.. Spake The Father and the Son Humanity you held there.. In the middle of your hands... And now your soul is ready For.. My Heavens Promised lands Your legacy, my dear one Is the light you left behind" A light most any one can Leave" If they only seek to find Your life on earth was golden And you did your best for Me Now we journey homeward Where Your soul will be set free.Help me understand, Dear Lord, Twas in Your time, not mine And let Diana rest there In Your Loving Arms Divine..Light a candle on Diana's birthday July 1st, 1961 and her passing August 31,1997.If I should die and leave you here awhile, Be not like others, sore undone, who keep Long vigils by the silent dust, and weep. For my sake - turn again to life and smile, Nerving thy heart and trembling hand to do Something to comfort other hearts than thine. Complete those dear unfinished tasks of mine And I, perchance, may therein comfort you.Wouldnt she be proud this past week as someone on my page said.Prince Harry has launched a charity in memory of his late mother DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, which aims to help children orphaned by AIDS.Inspired by Diana's charitable legacy, the young prince co-founded the organisation with Lesotho royal PRINCE SEEISO and has named the charity Sentebale, which translates to "don't forget me".The 21-year-old says, "I am committed for the rest of my life." I know where ever Diana is im sure she was the happiest mom there ever was.

Music:

On 24 February 1981 it was officially announced that Lady Diana was to marry The Prince of Wales. As neighbours at Sandringham until 1975, their families had known each other for many years, and Lady Diana and the The Prince had met again when he was invited to a weekend at Althorp in November 1977.They were married at St Paul's Cathedral in London on 29 July 1981, in a ceremony which drew a global television and radio audience estimated at around 1,000 million people, and hundreds of thousands of people lining the route from Buckingham Palace to the Cathedral. The wedding reception was at Buckingham Palace./a

Movies:

Dianas sons were her world she absolutely wanted them to have a great childhood.Naturally Diana accepted the obligations of the crown, because she knew that William would become 'King of England' one day.But for all that, the childhood could never be ignored. She wanted William becomes a 'King of the people' one day.Diana was a very affectionately mother, who could give much love, security and warmth. She would be proud today of the men William and Harry have become.

Television:

The tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales occurred on Sunday, 31 August 1997 following a car accident in Paris, France. The vehicle in which the Princess was travelling was involved in a high-speed accident in the Place de l'Alma underpass in central Paris shortly before midnight on Saturday, 30 August. The Princess was taken to the La Pitie Salpetriere Hospital, where she underwent two hours of emergency surgery before being declared dead at 0300 BST. The Princess's companion, Mr Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the vehicle died in the accident, whilst a bodyguard was seriously injured. As the week unfurled the public response was incredible and one couldn't help but be moved by that response. People poured into London to pay their last respects, laying flowers outside St James's Palace (where the body of Diana lay), Buckingham Palace (home of the Queen) and Kensington Palace (home of Diana). People queued for hours outside St James's Palace to sign books of condolence. The week drew to an end with the Funeral of Diana to be held in Westminster Abbey on Saturday morning. The evening before, the body of Diana was moved to Kensington Palace, to be conveyed to Westminster Abbey on a gun carriage in the morning. On the Friday, Prince Charles and the young Princes Harry and William came out and talked to the crowds outside St James's Palace. All appeared to draw strength and comfort from their mutual grief. On the morning of Saturday the body of Diana took its last journey from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey. So quiet, the only sound to be heard the clop clop clop of the horses' hooves on the road as they pulled the gun carriage on which lay the body of Diana. An attractive American called Debra, with a very sexy drawl, commented that as she waited outside Queen's Gate for the cortege to pass so quiet was it all around that you could have heard a pin drop.

Books:

Diana was laid to rest at Althorp House home of the Spencer family.Diana was placed to rest on a tiny island where as a little girl she would row over and gather greenery for the house often she would bring a picnic lunch. So it ends where it began the circle of her life at a circle within a circle.

Heroes:

~ I Vow To Thee My Country ~I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, entire and whole and perfect the service of my love:the love that asks no question, the love that stands the test that lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;the love that never falters, the love that pays the price, the love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. And there's another country,I've herd of long ago, most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;we may not count her armies,we may not see her King;her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;and soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, and her ways are ways of gentleness and all her paths are peace. This was Dianas favorite hymns she chose it for her wedding, and was the firsthymn sung at her funeral.Very appropriate to her life, work and end,the ultimate sacrifice and lasting legacy.
