WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET:Of course I'm going to say JeSuS! The AmAzInG thing about that is that He met me and saved me from a life of sin and death! But the meeting I am speaking about is on that GREAT DAY when we shall see him face to face and spend eternity with HiM!Other people who inspire and I would like to meet are:1.) Denzel Washington 2.) Oprah Winfrey 3.) Farrah Gray 4.) Will Smith 4.) T.D. Jakes 5.) Yolanda Adams 6.) Donnie McKlurkin 7.) My Homie Kirk Franklin (Although i met him backstage a long time ago) 8.) Bill Cosby 9.) John Legend 10.) Queen Latifah 11.) Danny Glover 12.) LeBron James 13.) AND YOU OF COURSE!IF WE DON'T GET A CHANCE TO MEET IN PERSON, I PRAY I WILL SEE YOU ON THAT GREAT DAY WHEN THE TRUMPETS SOUND! : )
I enjoy listening to gospel artists like Kirk Franklin. (I won backstage passes to see him from HEAVEN 1580AM Bible Brain Buster Challenge a few years ago! Anyway, IsRael and New Breed, CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, The Holy culture of Hip Hop from my homies The CrossMovement, "We go back like lazyboys" and the awespme people they have in their ministry, lol! Da Truth, (nothin' but the truth) and J. R. (aka J to te IzzaRR)! lol! I love The Winans, and their sons (Doin their thing) Winans Phase II, Martha Manuzzi, Donnie McClurkin, The Parachute Band, (A Worship group from NEW ZEALAND),Yolanda Adams,JMoss, Deitrick Hadden, Joanne Rosario, Lisa McClendon, Mary Mary, Men Of Standard, Commissioned,Alot of Contempory Christian bands like Casting Crowns, amazing! I love what Anthony Evans has been bringing to the table. He has such a refreshing voice. Jennifer Knapp and Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call are other wonderful artists. I love music by Chris Tomlin and Michael W. Smith as well...Whew! So Many! I cant even name them all! They all have made a huge Impact on my Personal Spiritual Formation. I do love, love, love Jazz, (Especially romantic Jazz) Classical music has lowered my stress alot! A whole lot!! lol! and almost anything that is Positive or lifts up the name of JESUS, you know. I have also been into alot of David Ryan Harris stuff lately and My favorite instruments to listen to are: the saxophone, violin, acoustic guitar and piano of course. I do like instumental stuff to just chillax and wind down but if i had a choice to listen to just one of them, it would be the good old sax! (smile) ahhh! I can hear it now! lol!I like alot of good ol' skool r&b. Uhm...lets see... All of BabyFace songs were the jams, (and still is). Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson... I love Musiq SOulChild... His style is nice...I just love his voice! I do hope his songs are personal cause they make such an impact on people's lives. Brian McKnight, Tamia also. Kenny Latimore (Eventhough he only did like 2 or 3 CD's, Jessie Powell, Maxwell...well, well, well (whew! I thought I was gonna marry him! lol!), Lauryn Hill, I just startied getting into Robin Thicke's music...His sound is refreshing. BlackStreet use to be the bomb, (not backstreet boys!lol! eventhough they were a good group). and one of my all time favorite groups were Boyz II Men! (Wachu know about that End of the road jump-off?)lol! I love Shawn Stockman's voice out of that group.So...uhm...yeah... Im not a huge fan of heavy sexual music(no offense, just not my style)...but the R & B of the late 70's were good. The music of the 80's - 90's were the jams yo!, then it started to change in the 2000's. Some for the better and most for the worst. Im down with that SouL style like joHn LeGeNd. He has been re-shaping R&B Soul for the future.
My absolute all-time favorite is Coming to America! lol! The five Heartbeats! Inspiring movies like Lean on me and Remember the Titans, I love almost anything that Denzel Washington acts in, (not because of his looks, but because I think he is such an excellent actor.) I have been getting into alot of BBC movies alot. The are so good and have alot of reality in it. I am a sucker for Chick flicks, ie, Romantic Comedies like Something New. I don't like scary movies, dies laughing at movies like Bruce Almighty.
