About Me

On June 30 2007, Ryan's life was changed forever. On his way to a wedding with his wife Stephanie, eight months pregnant with their first child, Ryan's car was struck by an oncoming vehicle that veered into the wrong lane. Ryan and his wife sustained serious injuries, Stephanie and the baby later passed away. Ryan was in critical condition and spent weeks in the hopital and months in physical therapy. While still in the hospital, he began to write the material that will become his next album, "The Earth's Last Day". While Ryan has written music for years, this recent material shows him at the top of his craft. This music is vital and urgent in a way that his music has not been before. Ryan's friends and fans have long recognized his knack for melody and uncanny lyrical sensibility, but now he has taken his lyrics to another level of brutal honesty while maintaining his ability to create a hauntingly familiar melody. Scheduled to be released in Early Summer 2008, almost a year after the accident, "The Earth's Last Day" shows great promise as an album. With his roots rock/indie folk sound, Ryan is sure to find an audience in fans of artists like Counting Crows, REM, Bill Mallonee, Ryan Adams, and Cory Branan. Catch him on tour this summer and hear Ryan for yourself.
