I am a singer/songwriter and have recently found the confidence to sing using the online ’game’ called Second Life as a virtual platform to sing to people all over the world from my bedroom (see partner www.myspace.com/smilyraymaker). The creators of Second Life invited me to perform at their recruitment party in Brighton during the summer of 2007 and this gave me the strength to try and find my feet amongst ’real’ musicians! I am influenced and inspired by all music I hear, in particular the folky sounds of Eva Cassidy and Jewel and my music is written solo or sometimes in partnership with my guitar teacher/mentor Chris.
