“7 Minutes†follows the journey of a Division I wrestling program through a
season in which it has to deal with not only the sacrifice it takes to excel
in the world’s toughest sport, but personality conflicts, and the
university’s desire to cut the program due to the controversial requirements
and interpretations of Title IX. The story focuses on the team’s best
wrestler as he tries to claim an NCAA title against a rival while trying to
conqueror the mental demons that hold him back.
