Up to no good, I'm sure.

About Me

I've been living in D.C. for two years (NY transplant). I came here not knowing many people, but have made a lot of great friends and really love D.C. When I'm not working I'm usually trying to decide whether or not to go to happy hour (the answer is usually go), volunteering, catching up with friends and waiting for the elevator in my apartment building.I have the phone numbers of all the local food delivery places saved in my cell phone-- which demonstrates that while I'm organized, I very rarely cook a meal. I can, however, make a mean quesadilla.Generally, I'm a spaz but always the first to laugh at myself especially when it involves telling a story of about my spazziness. I can be sarcastic at times and appreciate others who don't take themselves too seriously. I made this with help from .. , Look at these other Layouts!

My Interests

Hanging out with friends, summer BBQs, going to the pool, people watching, dive bars, kickball, going to Nationals games, planning wacky events for charity (SMASHED), eating nachos and wings, reading post secret, finding good deals, catching up on my tivo,late-night drunken phone conversations, proscratinating-- especially when it come to washing dishes or laundry. I always try to resolve to go see more of D.C.-- the museums, kennedy center, etc. I'm still working on that!

cheesy 80s movies, any films involving an choregraphed dance sequence or even better a dance-off. Also love The American President, The Wedding Singer, Zoolander & Office Space.

Television:

I have a problem in which I have deciding that owning a tivo gives me carte blanche to record the worst of the worst on TV, especially if it appears while I'm sleeping or at work. The shows that are appropriate to mention include: West Wing, Survivor, Lost, O.C., Grey's Anatomy, Daily Show, Felicity, Best Week Ever

Books:

Prince of Tides, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, DaVinci Code, anything by Jane Greene, or Jodi Piccoult and of course an occasional Nora Roberts or Sandra Brown never hurt anyone! I also am a little magazine crazy-- favorites include US Weekly (Stars- they are just like us) come on- you read it too!, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Newsweek, InStyle and Washingtonian.
