Oh where to begin, anything outdoors, running, cycling, climbing, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. Basically if you can get dirt on your hands doing it, I am there. Very competetive as well in most sports except for basketball, this white boy has no hops.
Now this is something that I used to recite on a daily basis, sometimes by choice, and sometimes while I was in the front leaning rest(pushup position). But for some reason, I forgot about this, the importance of the words, the way of life that it represents, and the men that taught me that dedication, discipline, and duty was more than just words in a dictionary, but a way of living your life."The Ranger Creed" "R"ecognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment."A"cknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move farther, faster and fight harder than any other soldier."N"ever shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be. One-hundred-percent and then some."G"allantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow."E"nergetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country."R"eadily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
Everything, not to be like everyone else when I say that but I can find appreciation in everything from country to break beats, from soundtracks to soul, blues to hip hop, punk rock to hard rock. I have a wide appetite when it comes to music, now if I can just figure out my damn ipod I will be set.
I am somewhat of a movie buff, and my dvd collection borders on somewhat south of the insane, but if I have to name a few then Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, Suicide Kings, Boondock Saints, Poolhall Junkies, Black Hawk Down, 100 Girls, Pirates of the Caribbean, Underworld, Rounders, Master and Commander, the 13th Warrior, Amelie, Just Friends, Two Mules for Sister Sarah(sentimental reasons), Shrek, anything with Will Ferrell and the list go on and on........
Anything poker related, which is half of everything nowadays. Other than that, I am a big fan of the early "X-Files", "C.S.I.", "Alias" before it went over the top, "Family Guy", "Mind of Mencia" and anything related to the NFL, and I have to regretfully own up to most things reality, just draw me in like a moth to a flame, thats so damn sad.
James Patterson, the Alex Cross series, "Along Came a Spider", "Kiss the Girls" to name a few. "I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell" by Tucker Max is a definate must read.
