About Me

Most of the time I'm a Quality Assurance Manager (ASQ certified and all that even), but I'm probably better known as the guy (or other name) that makes people show their ID at Mr. Gee's in Bedford on Friday nights.Yeah, I might be there other nights too. The profile says "single", but that's not exactly true. I live with my ex (and probable future) girlfriend, my two cats Troubull (Bull) and Wanda, and her dog Merwynn (Mimi).. Yeah it can be an odd situation. We lived together before we were "together" getting her through some shit (see my blog).....and she's gotten me through some too. Perhaps it's just a matter of dealing with/waiting out the vultures, snakes, weasels, and cockroaches. Time will tell.
Maybe Myspace needs a "single (sorta), got my hands full and not looking." selection LOL

I'd like to meet:

I'd need a time machine. Indeed a "sideways" time machine. Ronald Reagan, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, Winston Churchill, Lazarus Long, Robert Heinlein, H. L. Mencken, Dorothy Parker, and Leonardo da Vinci come to mind. I'd add P. J. O'Rourke to the list but I did meet him briefly (book signing).

Music:

Pretty much anything except most country. I'm definitely musically schizo. Particularly:

My Chemical Romance
50cent
House of Pain
Li'l Rob.
H.I.M.
Li'l Kim
Trashcan Sinatras
The Pipettes
Britpop
The Raspberries
Sahara Hotnights
David Banner
Snoop Dog
Dr. Dre
2Pac
Toby Keith (can't hate the guy who did "Courtesty of the Red White and Blue")
Sophie B. Hawkins
Youngbloodz
Dr. Dre
Dokken
Metallica
Tchiakovsky
Click Five
Sum 41
Nickelback
Bowling for Soup.
Scouting For Girls

Movies:

Casablanca

Elizabethtown

Boondock Saints

Team America

Pump Up The Volume

Roadhouse

Animal House

Almost Famous

The Usual Suspects

The Bond movies

Van Wilder ("none...") .

Green Street HooligansMr Cranky Rates The Movies - One of the funniest things I've ever seen on the 'net.

Television:

South Park, 24, NFL football, and that's pretty much it right now. Viva La Bam sometimes. Nothing regularly once the Browns are done.

Books:

I'm a confirmed bookaholic. Clancy, Turtledove, Bujold, Heinlein, Cussler, James Hogan, P. J. O'Rourke, history, alternate history, etc.....I'd rather read (or be on the puter) than watch TV or movies.

Heroes:

Ronald Reagan, Benjamin Franklin, Winston Churchill, Thomas Jefferson

The "A word"

One thing that I've never really liked is the use of the "a word" when discussing functional relationships.  No, it's not the word some of you who know us might be thinking.  It's the word "...

The GOP wins when it leaves "culture" alone...

James Carville, a man as shrewd about the practicalities of politics as he is dense about the ideologies, said in 1994: "Whenever I hear a campaign talk about a need to energize the base, that's a ca...

Yep, that's his real name.  He was a Muslim as a child.  Is that a problem?  No.  But being evasive about it is.  Is it something you're ashamed of, Senator? Evasive is ...

P. J. O'Rourke once reviewed Hillary's book "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child" by simply saying, "It takes a village to raise a child. The village is Washington, D.C..  You are the child.".&nb...

No, I don't have a fucking "bonus card".

But I do think it's a large puddle of steaming e.coli caused diarrhea that you charge me extra to opt out of the detailed database of who-bought-what that you are sharing with God-knows-who....
