My Interests

Philosophy, music, films, art, architecture, economics, history, great literature and fashion.

I'd like to meet:

Probably none of you.

Music:

I made this Flash Music Player at MyFlashFetish .com.

Rob Zombie, Velvet Acid Christ, Funker Vogt, Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway, Django Reinhardt, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Motley Crue, Calabrese, Niccolo Paganini, Marilyn Manson (that's right, Mechanical Animals and the Golden Age of Grotesque are great, and the rest of their work isn't bad either; I've recently come to realize that to many others being a fan of MM makes me a jerk, or a poser, or something...but fucked if I care), Oingo Boingo, David Bowie, Non Contradiction, Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, The Cramps, Orgy (to an extent), John-fucking-5, Ynqwie Malmsteen, Gary Numan, Nick Cave, Big Head Todd and the Monsters (I grew up in Denver, what can I say?) Genitoturers, Montrose, Christian Death, Shadow Project, London After Midnight (Sean Brennan is a prick but Psycho Magnet wasn't a bad album), Mission UK, Horrorpops, The The, Code Blue, Cracker, The B-52's, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Sopor Aeternus, Depeche Mode, the Pixies (Doolittle was great), SRV, VNV Nation, Bach, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Richard O'Brien, Combichrist, Monte Montgomery, Vanity Beach, All Gone Dead, Wednesday 13, Pop Culture Suicides, Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13, The Dandy Warhols, Rosetta Stone, Echo and the Bunnymen ... that is by no means all, but it is enough to give you an idea.

Movies:

The Fountainhead, We the Living, On Blue Steel, Begotten, Swing Kids, Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Swing Kids, The Usual Suspects, Quills, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Mel Brooks usually cranked out hilarious work, and Hellzapoppin' among several others.

Television:

Mostly the History and Discovery Channels. But I do stray from there to view Bones, Venture Brothers, House, South Park, Bullshit!, Frasier and a few other shows. I miss MST3K...

Books:

Anything written by Ayn Rand, Victor Hugo, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Frank Spearman, Terence Rattigan and Friedrich von Schiller. Mickey Spillane is good on occassion. Edward Cline's "Sparrowhark" series is incredible. As well as several other authors that I read often though not with the consistency with which I read to aforementioned authors. Gen LaGreca's new book "Noble Vision" is great. I enjoy the poetry of Badger Clark, Francisco Ley and Rudyard Kipling as well as several others. And Philosophy, can't forget philosophy. You would be hard-pressed to find a significant work of philosophy that I haven't read. I've read most of the insignificant ones as well. I also have a substantial collection of historical and economic works. And a smaller (though relatively good-sized) collection of works on theoretical physics, psychology and the arts. Hell, I'll read almost anything published. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll like it all, but I'll read it. Except trash fiction (romance novels, etc.).

Heroes:

Let us clarify what a hero is--a hero is someone with qualities I regard as high virtues. That being said:Ayn Rand, Victor Hugo, Aristotle, John Locke, Isaac Newton, Commodore Vanderbilt, Frederic Bastiat, Jean Baptiste Say, Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Frank Lloyd Wright, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington and my father. And, of course, John Galt, Francisco D'anconia, Ragnar Danneskjold, Dagny Taggart, Hank Rearden and Howard Roark.Admiring someone does not make you second-hander---it makes you an passionate valuer... width="425" height="350" ..

My Blog

" . . .Fuel for the soul".

Art. Art, as Ayn Rand said, is fuel for the soul. But, first, some abra-cadaver. I know the blog has been pretty quiet 'round here lately. There are several factors, but one of the biggest is me bein...

Bertrand Russell was a fool...and the Liar Paradox

So, I've been in several ongoing debates in a few discussions forums over the past couple of days (it's what I do when I'm down, I find I debate better if I am in a bad mood). One of them evolved from...
