This page was inspired by the spirit of Genghis Khan and has been established in order to bring about the unification of the greatest empire in world history, the Mongol Empire. We are bringing together Mongolians from around the globe in order to fulfill our destiny. We are going to bring about a change in the way that Genghis Khan, the Mongol Empire, and Mongolian culture in general is perceived by many throughout the rest of the world. The empire of our ancestors was far greater than both the Roman empire and the empire of Alexander the "great". It is time for us to get the credit that we deserve and this page is dedicated to making sure that this happens. We hope that you will join us in making history once again.The Mongol Empire, also known as the Mongolian Empire (Mongolian: Монголын Эзэнт Гүрэн, Mongolyn Ezent Güren; 1206–1405) was the largest contiguous empire in world history and for some time was the most feared in Eurasia. It was the product of Mongol unification and Mongol invasions, which began with Temujin being proclaimed ruler in 1206, eventually sparking the conquests.By 1279, the Mongol Empire covered over 33,000,000 km² (12,741,000 sq mi),[1] up to 22% of Earth's total land area. It held sway over a population of over 100 million people. Genghis Khan, born Temüjin, was the founder, Khan (ruler) and posthumously declared Khagan (emperor) of the Mongol Empire, the largest contiguous empire in history.Temujin came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of north-east Asia. After founding the Mongol Nation and being proclaimed "Genghis Khan", he pursued an aggressive foreign policy by starting the Mongol invasion of East Asia and Central Asia. During his life, the Mongol Empire eventually occupied most of Asia.Temujin died in 1227 while campaigning against the Western Xia. He was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in his native Mongolia.
