Welcome to Kujo & The Kool-Aid Kids MySpace. The Kool-aid kids got started back in the fall of 2004. Chris, Mikey, Tyler & Lee all were seniors (except for Mikey) of Bullitt Central's Class of 05. In the fall semester there was word for a talent show. The four guys all teamed up to play Dare you to Move by Switchfoot at the show.
One night while Chris (lead vocalist) was hanging at Tyler's (lead guitarist) they were brainstorming on names to call the band. No more than two seconds went by before Chris shouted "Something & The Kool-Aid Kids". They both agreed Chris needed a nickname that started with a "K". Thus deriving Kujo.
The talent show was amazing - The kids headlined by playing dead last. The performance of Dare You To Move was amazing - and people stood to their feet as they applauded them.
Kujo & The Kool-Aid kids took 1st place at the fall show. Later, next semester, the band decided not to run in the show, but just play in it for fun. By this point - over 150 T-shirts were sold with a picture of the kool-aid man on them along with the bands name!
Spring of 2005 - K&TKool-Aid Kids played Mr. Brightside by the Killers along with some older songs like "Fortunate Son" "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Johnny B. Goode". This time people were chanting "Kujo" as the band took the stage!
It was deffinitely the most memorable time for the members of the band - a High School memory they will never forget.
Today, all of the guys still hang out and talk on a regular basis. Chris & Tyler both attend Indiana Univesity SE as Music Tech majors. Mikey Likens is finishing up his year at BC as class of 2006. And Lee Sanders is attending Elizabethtown Comm. College for an undecided Major!
We want to thank everyone who has supported us through the music and wearing the shirts - we love seeing people going about their day with a kool-aid shirt on! Thanks for being apart of the BC music scene and supporting Kujo & The Kool-Aid Kids. Without you guys - it wouldn't have been anything it amounted too! Thanks!
We're a proudly affiliated band with theVille Promotions!
