About Me

"I am a camera with its shutter open, quite passive, recording, not thinking...Someday all of this will have to be developed."
-Christopher Isherwood, writer
"Why be a man when you can be a success?"
-Bertolt Brecht, playwright
"Growth as an actor and as a human being are synonymous."
-Stella Adler, actress
"I want entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear."
-Joan Didion, writer
I love Stephen Sondheim more than you will ever know. Theatre is my life. You need to know that. I love the smell of novels. I drink tea on a daily basis. I wish I could paint. And cook. And dance. I liked "Rent" before it was a movie. It's called a "cast recording," not a "soundtrack." I wear sweaters even in the throes of summer. I sometimes spell words like the English. Gavin Creel is the hottest man alive. I love musical theatre, but I don't like to do it. I hate when people refer to shirts as "wife beaters." I'm in love with Bernadette Peters. I like the comfortable middle section of relationships, and I hate beginnings and ends. I like the names Finnegan, Tobias, and Wystan. I always want things to be better than they are. I'm the definition of a show queen. I eat lemons like I eat oranges. I eat entire oranges: peel and all. I'm an agnostic existentialist.
