DJ Refugee produces, promotes, and DJs. Ten years ago he got his start after his brother, DJ Rage, bought a set of turntables. It was mainly a hobby until 1999, that's when he released "Volume 1". As a freshmen in high school he was accomplishing things most DJs haven't until later in their careers. Still in high school he released three more volumes 1-2-3. "Outlawz Part 1" and various mixes for his friends. Soon after he expanded his skill set by spinning at sweet sixteen parties, weddings, and different types of functions. Taking on more serious projects he began DJing at clubs. In 2002 he was a resident DJ at XS night club. With the release of "Volume 5", DJ Refugee was peaking. Refugee also appeared main DJ for the Blade 2 premiere, Lil Scrappy, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Stevie B, Lil Suzy, Sharyn Maceren, And Many More. DJ Joey A. was featured on "Volume 5" and on his intro track. A unique style of mixing different formats was catching the attention of fans. "Volume 6" is even a bigger success. Promoting his first Release @ XS night club, 2000 people attended the party including DJ Dream, DJ Dshadow AND DJ Paradise. Refugee is one of the few DJs that is a producer, artist, promoter.
