About Me

Over the last few years, from time to time I have worked in Cameroon. . .living in mud huts, catching lizards, eating things best not eaten... As a biologist, I've spent a good bit of time in various small towns and backwaters...catching and tracking bears in the swamps of western Florida, surveying caribou on the North Slope of Alaska. I've had guns waved in my face, lived in trailers, had way too many people ask me if I'd like to come to Bible study, and I've played Lynyrd Skynyrd covers in dive bars in exchange for cheap beer and crawfish.I moved to Seattle in 2001 where through a combination of unemployment, sleep deprivation, and coffee, I started writing music. For the past few years, I've been running around the rainforests of Cameroon chasing reptiles, getting drunk with village chiefs and arguing with well-armed corrupt policemen. Currently, I live in Los Angeles.
The debut cd, best laid plans (gone wrong), is now available at cdbaby (see link below), iTunes, and Napster.
Good friend and sound engineering genius Jason Merritt (check out the top 16 below) deserves much credit for enduring the overcaffeinated freakshow I became during marathon writing/recording sessions. Lindsay Monroe (also on the top 16), the cd cover artist/designer, did fantastic work. Check out her other work at www.lindsaymonroe.com.

Sounds Like: a toy boat secret in a tidepool hurricane...a 19 hour drive fueled by waffle house coffee...throwing paper airplanes off of tall buildings...awkward moments turned into too many words...fitting them into too small spaces.
