Watching my son grow before my eyes, falling asleep to my Scotty softly strumming a guitar, laughing so hard my face hurts for an hour, crying until I am drained, loving someone as much as the air I breathe, wrapping up in a blanket in front of the fireplace on a rainy day with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa (don't forget the whipped cream...it's the best part), the feeling I get when I finish a poem or a drawing, playing with my doggy Jacks, chatting with a friend over a pazookie, and getting so wrapped up in any sports game that I start yelling at the tv telling everyone how to play...yes i love sports. It's the simple things in life that I treasure.
My son. Wish granted. He is everything I thought and a million times more. There is nothing like being a mommy.
Aaaahhh, I am a woman of many tastes. You name it...I have probably listened to it, or liked it at one point in my life.My current favorites...Imogen Heap, Johnny Cash, Jeremy Enigk, Sigur Ros and my absolute favorite artist...Scotty Bussey :)
Oh I love "on the edge of your seat" movies. I love the emotional roller coasters that make you feel as though you aged 5 years in the space of two hours. I love to laugh so hard it hurts. Oh and I am a big wimp in scary movies. It's the music and sound effects. They get me every time. I shove my fingers in my ears and repeat "lalalala" in a feeble attempt to cover the darn noises they inevitably add to the most intense parts. Of course I do the squinty eye thing but not enough that I don't watch the entire scene anyway. I am ridiculous. Scott laughs at me often. Moving on...I love movies you can quote for decades...such as Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Sandlot, and the list goes on.
So You Think You Can Dance (I am a sucker for this show). Hell's Kitchen (awful reality, but nothing makes you laugh harder than an angry Brit calling people donkeys and other expletives). Deadliest Catch (crazy!). Man vs. Wild (disgusting, yet informative). Move over Jack Bauer...Bear Grylls is doing it for real!
Yes please! I love to read...and read often I do...even the dictionary. Want a book that will make you think? Try picking up the Bible.
Jesus Christ, My Husband and My Papa...the three men in my life that have shaped who I am and shown me the meaning of grace, love and strength.Ok and maybe Bear Grylls...this guy is amazing!
