I have been playing guitar since 1985, and 7-string guitars since 1990, with a few years off at some point in there for being having had to sell all of my gear to eat. My six string is a 1986 (Happy 20th Birthday!!!) Steinberger GM1TA, my 7-string is an Ibanez S7420 with a custom baritone neck made by Michael Dolan, tuned to LOW drop D, and my acoustic/electric is a Wechter Pathmaker, which is a phenomenal guitar for an electric guitarist. I have been using Line 6 gear almost exclusively since 2001 and currently am using the POD XT Live through an Atomic Reactor 112 amp and a BBE DI100X direct box. I record with Mackie Tracktion software through a Behringer mixer and M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 soundcard into my computer.
During the late 80s and early 90s I was in several rock and metal bands, but I have enjoyed being a solo/session artist the most. I was one of the main guitarists for World Changers Church International in Atlanta for 2 years prior to enlisting in the Army. That was by far the best experience I have ever had as a musician. I got out of the Army after less than 2 years due to injuries and other medical issues, and have been working as a webmaster since then gigging, teaching, and recording on the side.
I am currently on somewhat of a hiatus since the birth of my first son, but he is so inspirational to me that material is coming to me left and right.
I will be posting more shortly as the time to record it comes available.
I'm interested in communicating with people who are into extended range guitars and basses (more than 6 strings and/or more than 24 frets) as well as touch style or tapping techniques. Any style of music is fine by me as long as it is played with a healthy balance of skill and passion.
Someone is always watching you so remember to act right...
...or not!!!
