DJ Relaxxx was born in Queens, NY. His parents immigrated to Brooklyn from Ecuador in the early 70’s. Looking for a better opportunity for their 5 children they settled in Jersey City. As a youth DJ Relaxxx had influences from many different genres. Jersey City was the melting pot of the US at the time. As the youngest of 5 children he had music influences from his siblings. Each had a different preference in music taste. His oldest brother loved Disco/R&B, his oldest sister enjoyed early HipHop and early alternative, his other brother was a definite House head and his younger sister was into 80’s rock, which included Foreigner and U2. As the youngest DJ Relaxxx was exposed and enjoyed all the genres the same. Growing up in the New York area DJ Relaxxx started listening to many different radio stations 92KTU with Paco, WBLS with DJ RedAlert, Kiss FM with Bobby Konders, and later on La Mega. DJ Relaxxx is a music lover that can definitely get down to anything. He loves Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Freestyle, Rap, R & B, Jazz, Rock, Country and Reggae. Moving to Orlando in the early 2000’s he was introduced to a new style of music called playero which eventually turned into reggaeton. DJ Relaxxx welcomed this new style of music because of the love for reggae and rap. Reggaeton included this plus a flavor of salsa, bachata and merengue. DJ Relaxxx has done a vast of different events. He has done Christmas parties for corporate events, house parties, house warming parties, engagement parties, baby showers, and weddings. Currently he continues to perfect his art of DJing by performing at different clubs and as a resident DJ for 2 internet radio stations, warriorfm and partyradiousa.net.
