I just like, fun, confident, interesting people. Just look at my friends- come on, they're all beautiful and fabulous! The friends I have and the types of people that attract me cover the spectrum... so you never know! I would just say that having a good idea of who you are and confidence in your own "fantasticness!" is always an attractive quality- athough arrogance is never good! Someone's style says a lot about who they are. I just enjoy cool people! Just be unique and be you and we're good to go! But I will notice a beautiful set of eyes and a great smile before I notice an amazing body (although those aren't to shabby either!) As for DATING: I have a bit of a pension accents (comes from working with British, European, and South Africans.) I'm very drawn to the whole dark hair and light eye look- I also have a penchant for curly hair, definitely not a requirement, just features that I notice and like. In a "love interest" you should be between the ages of 18 and your early to early- 30's- sorry folks, but I have 4 parents.... believe me, that's enough!
Hmmm Where to start with my Musical Addiction? Hip-Hop!!!!!: Missy Elliott, Amerie, Jill Scott, ~ Female Brilliance Rock: Tori Amos (How is this woman so genius??), Annie Lennox (Who doesn't love HER?), Jonatha Brooke (IS BRILLIANCE!), Sarah McLachlan, Rachael Yamagata (OMG- how I adore this woman's music!), Patty Griffin, Kelly Clarkson (Fierce bitch), Nikka Costa, KT Tunstall (Newest among the Brillant Women), Fleming & John, Joan Osborne, Evanescence, Chantal Kreviazuk, Emily DeLoach, Karen Mason~ Trip Hop/Pop: Everything But the Girl, Imogen Heap, Kosheen, Jem, Frou Frou, Olive, Roisin Murphy, Goldfrapp~ Men (Although few and far between): Aqualung, Rufus Wainwright, Damien Rice, Coldplay, Travis, Keane~ Let us not forget the cheesy pop: Mariah Carey, Madonna, Pussycat Dolls, The Black Eyed Peas, Danity Kane
Movies, hmmmm... this is hard. Well, anything with Toni Collette in it but Muriel's Wedding has a special place in the old heart, Elizabeth (I'm in LOVE with Cate Blanchett- watch her in The Gift), Life As a House, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Mean Girls, The Birdcage... OH, I dunno... I like funny and the quoteable! I LOVE Margaret Cho's Comedy DVD's and the Queens of Comedy is a prize possession! I love movies... I go all of the time!
I LOVE TLC! What Not to Wearand Miami Ink... I like it all! LOVE BBC America... I'm SUCH a FOOTBALLER'SWIVES dork. I'm also a LIFETIME Oldies Lover: Designing Women, Golden Girls, The Nanny, and now Will & Grace. FUNNY! The rest are things like all forms of CSI, Nip/Tuck, Alias, Ab Fab, I hate to admit it but I've been sucked in to the reality fashion world... I'm totally addicted to fashion television... Project Runway and America's Next Top Model. I'm not all too often but when I'm home I've been known to watch when I'm home.
Anything Anne Rice- especially Queen of the Damned & Cry to Heaven, the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series, Gregory Gacguire. He wrote Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Mirror, Mirror and Son of a Witch. I'm always up for a good book. If you have any book suggestions... I'm open to suggestion! I also read this book called the RED TENT, it's historical Biblical fiction. It was AMAZING! I loved it.
Not so sure about this one. I don't think I really have a "hero." I would say I admire my Mom for always finding some way to bust her butt to get her kids what they wanted or needed and never complaining about it. I didn't say it wouldn't be used down the road as fuel for the "guilt trip fire" though! But she's never left me "needing" anything and I love her. I have never doubted that she loves me! My Dad because he is one of the hardest workers I have ever KNOWN anywhere. He doesn't know when to stop- both of my folks are quite selfless!I consider Marjorie Halbert my mentor. She has guided my life in so many ways, as a singer, as an actor, as a Christian, and as a person. She taught me to be true to myself... regardless of what others think and say, she OPENED my voice in a HUGE way, she revived my passion for theatre when I was ready to quit, but most importantly- she taught me to keep my chin down and to use I and me correctly in a sentence. I'm still working on the latter two items. They will come!
