Hi, my name is Gardenia Cuadra. I’m 21 years old. I was born in NY, however my father is from Nicaragua and my mother is from D.R. My dream has always been to be an immigration lawyer and also work for international law. So, far that has not worked out....I’m married at the age of 21 with a handsome Colombian guy and we have a beautiful boy. He was diagnosed with mild autism. Of course I cried when I found out but he will soon be talking. He’s getting better and better as the days pass by. What is more important is that he gets the education that he deserves. He is so big, caring and just loveable. Everybody has to see the sun when they are clouds (or something like that). Just be positive in everything. God gave us the ability to surpass our troubled times. Just like Jesus was able to carry his cross (even though he got knocked down, he got right back and kept on walking) so are we. God gave each and everyone of us our own cross, knowing we will be able to carry it. He will never ever give us something we could not handle. I came on to myspace because everyone was doing and to find some forgotten people in my life, however through here I have found two mothers who also have kids with autism. They have the strength to do so many things, especially Maria. She even found the time in her busy schedule to go ahead and do another page just for autism awareness. Now one of my main reasons to get onto myspace is to check out the support groups they have for autism. I guess that’s it for now, if you have any question, e-mail them to me.
