About Me

..I was a kit player for a number of years, played with a band called Swervedriver for a while, then got into producing/engineering/management.
I'm old enough to have deeply loved the experience of analogue recording (where every member of the band could be responsible for their own sound & how it moved through a piece of recorded music). I still insist on bands recording for real, but use all the time saving benefits of computer editing to make more time to play music... width="425" height="350" ..These days I manage Terra Diablo via my management company Bad Earth Music. Contact me. If I can help I will... I can still hit drums too! I also design recording studios, design gardens, play bad golf, love to cook & enjoy the occasional (ahem) beverage...
My first book - "RIDER" - is now available. It's a collection of short stories about life on the road with an indie band on a tight budget. Go get a copy - I hope it makes you smile. Just hit the button - Thanks!

And on we roll...

Sitting on on the bus in North Carolina. Played a blinder last night (though I say it myself). I think we all felt we stepped it up another gear in Atlanta. Always a great feeling when that happens. T...

so far.... so good...

It's been pretty good so far. I imagined after ten years without being on one, that riding around the US on a tour bus would feel kind of strange. Well I can tell you - it doesn't! After just a few ho...

Pardon?!?!

EH? PARDON?! WHAT WAS THAT?!?! Sorry - I just spent about four hours in a confined space with one of the loudest bands that ever made a move on this daft little spherical rock of ours. And God it hurt...

The hardest part...

...of any journey is that single first step on the road. That's what they say isn't it? Something like that anyway. Well, from where I'm sitting that may well be true in part, but the reality - once t...

Toots & The Maytals in London

Last night I experienced something spiritual. Something rich. Something - certainly not clean - but oh, so wholesome.     Last night I played "scissors - paper - stone" at th...
