And if rain brings winds of change, then let it rain on us forever.

About Me

This is always the hard part, isn't it? How do you explain yourself, and/or what you're looking for without sounding like a greasy used car salesman? It's something that I've yet to figure out, but I can't help trying, just in case something I say, someday, somewhere, sparks just the right amount of interest in someone else. You never know when a good friend can pop into your life. Every true friend is like a puzzle piece, fitting amongst the moments and experiences that make up who I am. With that in mind, every moment that passes, every person I meet, every thing that transpires, I'm one step closer to my futureperfect.
But where to start? I never know.
I guess I'll knock the basics out with this handy, bulleted list and work it from there.
o - I love music.
o - I'm a pretentious asshat.
o - I'm usually pretty blunt.
That about sums up the basics. I'm a relatively easy-going kind of guy with incredibly varied taste in a vast amount of 'things.' I'm having trouble pinning down anything more specific than that, at the moment.
My goals in life are pretty basic, too. I have high hopes to find a partner: someone I can share everything with, both support and be supported by, and in general experience life with. I suppose it sounds cheesy, written out like that.
I'm in the process of putting together a concept album. It's looking to be a combination of industrial, futurepop, alternative and jazz. Expect sprinkles of other miscellaneous genres. Hundreds of songs have elicited emotions in me, and if I can somehow bring that feeling to other people in the world, well, I have to try. It'll probably be years before it's done, but it's something I'm pretty passionate about.
Lastly, and this is more of a recent revelation, I want to live my life in such a way that I'm a good influence on everyone around me. Not in the manipulative sense, but in the benevolent, passive sense. I want people to spend time with me because they enjoy my company. I want people to walk away from me with a sense of well-being; a sense of comfort. I want people to feel better about life, enjoy a sunset, fucking smile when I'm around. And most importantly? I don't particularly care whether or not they notice it's me that causes it. I just want people to enjoy all that life has to offer.
Those are really my only three serious goals. I'mean, sure, I want money, a house, good food, fast cars, yada yada. But none of that really needs to be explicitly stated. And a lot of that is relatively petty, to boot.
That's about all I can think of for now. There's a lot more, but nothing I can particularly put into words without sounding even more pretentious and greasy. Atleast, not yet.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

If after plowing through the above text you still want to contact me, then I would probably like to meet you.

Music:

If I could only explain to you how much of a spiritual experience music is to me, this section wouldn't mean a thing. Mere words can't describe how I feel about music, however, and many of you wouldn't believe me even if I tried, so I'll just list some of the artists that have helped me along my journey.

VNV Nation

The National
Royksopp
The Decemberists
The One AM Radio (Hrishikesh Hirway)

I could keep going, but if you actually read through all of those, I probably don't need to.

Television:

Recently? Heroes, mostly. Plenty of other series have piqued my interest but none of them can usurp Firefly's position as king in my heart.

Heroes:

Anyone not willing to let life get them down.
Those capable of helping others enjoy life.

And if the rain brings winds of change, let it rain on us forever

There's so much to say, and so many ways to say it, but I'm having trouble with my words, so you'll have to excuse me if my presentation is a little lackluster tonight. To get the main point out right...

I'm a believer. Well, that's not strictly true - I'm more of a make-believer.

There was a blog I posted some time ago that I've been thinking about recently.  It was posted when fish-like creatures with stubby appendages first crawled forth from our churning seas, but the ...

And still, I'll be here until this whole thing hits the ground.

I'm not too good at this whole 'blogging,' thing.  For that matter, I never really liked the word 'blog.'  It doesn't seem appropriate.  I'mean, there are some people spilling their sou...

The gauntlet was thrown.

That's right.  The challenge was issued.  She threw it, and she thought I was going to fold under the pressure.  Fold like a cheap suit, she thought.  But she was wrong!  Wron...
