I'd like to meet:
WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET:
You mean anyone living or dead?
I'd choose the live one, of course. I'm not stupid, you know.
Seriously, though: Ghandi, John the Beloved, Hugh Laurie, Steve Martin, Rowan Atkinson, Clinton Kelly and Stacey London, Gwen Stefani, Alan Cumming, Will Ferrel, Jack Black, Steve Carell, Grace Kelley, Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, Gordon B. Hinckley (although I *was* once in the same room as he was), Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jasper Fforde, Will Thomas, John and John of They Might Be Giants, Alfred Yankovic, Jennifer Coolidge, Parker Posey ... yeah, people like that. ^_^
Music:
I listen gladly to nearly all music.
I listen with witnessed less enthusiasm to country or rap. Everything else is rather swell. As long as there aren't too many naughty words that I have to "edit" when I scream ... I mean sing along. ^_^ (Especially since I'm all mom-ed out, I try to keep the air around my babies --and myself-- profanity-free.)
Movies:
I like too many, really. It depends on my mood. I love anime. I also like Edwardian or Georgian Era (hard to tell them apart, since I don't know much about England's royalty or their reigns so much. My bad!) books made into movies (they often make more sense that way) ... Jackie Chan films, comedies, the Mormon film genre (naturally), action, thrillers ... I loved The Ring, Ring 2, Ringu, and The Village. I like musicals (including Moulin Rouge and Bride and Prejudice)...
Other favorites would include: While You Were Sleeping, The Last Unicorn, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, French Kiss, So I Married an Axe Murderer, the Austin Powers movies, Pixar films, Johnny English, the Mr. Bean videos, A Charlie Brown Christmas (I LOVE it!!!), Sabrina (the classic one, with Bogey and Hepburn), Serenity (If only there were more seasons of Firefly), Bend It Like Beckham, Even Almighty, Little Manhattan, Waitress, etc., etc., and so forth ....
Television:
House M.D., Bones, My Family, Keeping Up Appearances, My Hero, So You Think You Can Dance, How to Lokk Good Naked, American Idol, Beauty and the Geek, America's Next Top Model, Dirty Jobs, What Not to Wear, Miami Ink, nearly anything on TLC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, or Animal Planet. ... Yes, I'm a bit geeked out, huh?
Books:
Lynn Kurland, Will Thompson, Carole Nelson Douglas, Garth Nix, Tamora Pierce, Robin McKinley, Joshilyn Jackson, Shanna Swendson, J.K. Rowling, Lloyd Alexander, Lilian Jackson Braun, ... and many, many others.I read a lot. I'll try to update this in the near future.
Heroes:
Michael, my mom, President Gordon B. Hinckley, Jesus Christ, and lots or others.
