Timmy T a.k.a Timmoy Powell was born and grown in one of Jamaica’s troubled community called Glendevon in Montego Bay and only knew his mother Denise Williams due to the fact that his father was not around during his youth. He fell in love with the music at a young age and started to sing secular in and around his community. He got his first opportunity in 2005 to sing at a school function at the Aqua Sal Team Park, this was the school he attended, St James High. This event got him more recognized as he was ask to sing at the school devotions in the morning.After all this recognition he realized that there was something missing and there is better than this. He decided not to be a man pleaser but to be a god pleaser and one artiste Prodigal Son made a great impact on his life. Prodigal Son a.k.a. Bless inspired him to start using his gift to glorify god and with this he put away all his secular songs and started to write gospel songs. He now attends The Apostolic Church Of Jamaica were he is the P.R.O. Public Relation Officer and he also ministers at the church in the youth ministry and sings in the choir, he is also a member of The Jamaica Youth For Christ. He came In contact with Troy Manderson a.k.a DJ Troy of New Generation a well known gospel group in Montego Bay and also the Founder and C.E.O. of More Life Records. He recorded his first two gospel songs in 2008 under More Life Records where Timmy T is now signed on the label.He has been blessed to have ministered at genesis 2k8 and the Pre- Genesis Launch and as ministered on stage with the likes of DJ Nicholas, Ryan Mark, New Generation, Jai, and Jermaine Edwards. He has a strong passion for the youths and with is radical style and lyrics he is determine to educate god’s people and win the lost for Christ at any cost.
