Let me tell you why I built this MySpace profile and then I’ll share a little bit more about me. I built this profile because I believe people are much more powerful than they sometimes realize. My goal is help people “wake up” to their incredible potential…to bring out their very best!
I want you to understand that you have an amazing amount of wisdom and knowledge inside you and my hope is that in some small way, I can help you tap into that power.
I truly believe in this. If you are right with yourself and understand what you have within you it is possible, no it is predictable that you can live a life that is more fulfilling and meaningful, not to mention more productive. When you are “on purpose” you bring out the very best in you.
There is no doubt in my mind that EVERYONE has this. The question is…do you want to wake up to it…put in the effort to grow…and use it to live the lives you really want for yourself?
But There is More to This Profile…
I’m looking to CONNECT with people. Not in a phony way, a real connection. I’m looking to connect with people who have a GENUINE desire to live a better life and to grow as human beings.
Are you open to grow, to become a better more productive person? Are you open to really finding out what you are made of? Because if you are, and you are willing to focus on this task, there will be no doubt that you will accomplish your objective.
That is the type of person I want to connect with. People who have a yearning to do more with their lives. People who have this yearning are all around us…they just need the right teacher and guidance to get them there.
So, Let Me Tell You A Bit About Myself…
I was born in northern New Jersey, the oldest of three children. I was a good student and decent athlete, and I’d like to think I was a caring individual, although my buddies may have a different take on that!
I’ve always been very intense in just about everything I did. In fact, in college my nickname was Dr. Adrenal because of that intensity level. Of course, I liked to call my intensity simply being “on purpose” because my projects always were completed. There were times when this intensity level caused me heartache and hardship, but I firmly believe that we learn from the obstacles and difficulties we experience. And now, being blessed with four children, I have a better understanding of how to relate to what they are going through.
I went to college knowing that I wanted to be some type of doctor so I took all the biology and science related courses necessary to pursue a career as a physician. I knew I had the drive to do it, just didn’t know exactly what field I wanted to be in. I What I DID know was that I had an intense desire to help people. It was just a matter of figuring out how to accomplish it.
During college I looked into many of the medical fields. One field, chiropractic, really caught my eye. I liked the idea of helping people in a wholistic manner which gave people an alternative to standard medicine for many conditions. Even though I got accepted to dental school, I decided to give Chiropractic the nod. The profession has been good to me. Twenty seven years later I have a successful practice and a high quality lifestyle.
But as good as things are, the changes in the insurance industry have really made practicing less enjoyable. And then it happened…
A broken right hand! Picture this…a chiropractor trying to treat his patients with a cast on his dominant hand. Not good, not good at all. However, it woke me up to realize that for the future I had to have a Plan B in place just in case something more serious happened… The broken hand also helped me bring out something I knew inside me. I CAN’T stand working for other people. You might say, you don’t, you have your own chiropractic practice. The truth is, my boss is every patient that walks into my office and the insurance companies. Think about it…the insurance companies determine when and IF you get paid, and the patient can literally fire you at any moment. As successful as I have been, I have had patients leave the practice for the strangest of reasons. Many times having nothing to do with the quality of care they had received! Talk about frustration…
When I was in school I read interesting books outside the college curriculum that talked about issues that seemed so much more necessary for a high quality life. And they had nothing to do with school work. So why would I be getting a more valuable education from the books I read “outside” of school than the supposed “college level” books I was reading at the undergraduate level? Doesn’t this sound flip flopped to you?
Let’s Talk About College For a Moment…
Tuition, dormitory fees, books…Mandatory papers about inane topics…graduation day and what do you have..a diploma that costs over $100,000 if you are at a private school, loss of 4 years of income during those school years, and have a degree that qualifies you for a job that pays you less than $35,000 a year.
Then, in my case, I went to an additional 9 semesters of chiropractic school (the equivalent of 4 ½ years), chalked up massive educational loans so that I could begin helping people in my chosen profession. Of course, those years in chiropractic school prevented me from working as well. Add that up…8 years of college and graduate work PLUS 8 years of lost income… I won’t bore you with the math, but can you see how in today’s world to get SOMEWHERE people have to spend enormous sums of money on education and then get jobs that pay a fraction of what they are worth. Does this sound familiar to you?
There had to be another way! The broken hand is what turned the tide for me. If I had NOT broken my hand I would not have been open to a home based business. You see, after the injury I knew I needed another source of income to protect my family in case an even more serious circumstance occurred. So I looked into investing (that was a laugh), franchises (be ready to fork over HUGE sums of money with no return on investment for many years), and other JOBS. None looked good until I was introduced to this insane concept of home based businesses. But, wow…I am so glad I broke my hand!
When I first started out I failed horribly. I couldn’t understand it..I was following everything people told me to do. And, true to my Dr. Adrenal format, I was going at it strong.. So why wasn’t it working? Some friends told me I was nuts. Why was I wasting my time? I had a successful practice. I didn’t NEED the aggravation. They just didn’t understand.
No Matter What, I Was NOT Giving Up…I Had to Keep Going..
I knew in my heart that all the people that were being negative towards me didn’t understand the laws of right intention. When we do things for the right reason, with good intention, at some point things will go our way.. I believe that with all my heart…
Someone much wiser than me once said… ”There are no unrealistic goals, just unrealistic time frames.” Read that again. If you do things with good intentions and have perseverance you give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Don’t ever stop believing this fact. Don’t give up. I haven’t and it makes all the difference in the world.
It’s funny. When you have these thoughts and are focused on your dreams and aspirations, things just start happening. Information comes across your desk, you get an email from someone you haven’t heard from in years. Everything that is needed to guide you to your goals and aspirations.
As you start applying this information, poco a poco, little by little, success starts coming your way. Your business grows and you start realizing that your dreams and aspirations are happening right in front of your eyes. The thoughts, ideas, and action steps were always there waiting to come out. Your perseverance and right mindedness brings it out. It has been like this for me
And I know it’s within each and every one of you!
The question is..what are you going to do about it? Do you continue on living your life even if you are not satisfied how you are living? OR…
Do you take a huge step out of your comfort zone, believe in yourself at any cost, put in whatever amount of work and effort it takes to get you where you NEED to be?
My friend, you can only answer that question. Because the answer comes from deep within you. You must determine how badly you want what you want. That will determine the action steps and path you take. The rules of the universe are such that you can attain anything once you are willing to dedicate yourself and your whole being to it.
