Anything outdoors! Volleyball, BBQs, camping, dancing, motorcycling (street & now dirt), shooting, mountainbiking, paintball, dancing, going out...
Did I tell you I'm looking at getting a new CR 250X? The dirt bug is finally hitting me for the next season-- and we're not even done with summer!!! I've had a blast hitting the cove and snorkeling, learning fish names... LOVE IT!
I'd like to meet:
Anyone who doesn't just "add" people and not put something into it- you have to tell me about yourself! (No, not the spammers who want to video some porn stuff... you can leave now....!)I'm not here to find love/riches/etc. here; just looking for like-minded people who can have conversations, not want to just sit around and watch movies when it's so nice outside, don't have to have booze or drugs to have fun (I'm not opposed to drinking mind you but there is sooo much more out there that's entertaining).Join the Team!
Music:
Not sure what my music mood is, but I'd have to say smorgasbord! I heard a band called "the Grizzly Bears" on NPR and that really tripped me out-- very old/vintage sounds but strangely hip :) Recorded in an old house and the sounds really brought a different feel to the music.***Music MOOD (11/19/07)-- Continental Divide-- bluegrass!....*** Went to a bluegrass show with my mom and they actually rocked my socks off. If you don't hear the roots of the punk, rock, rockabilly, blues, etc., hidden in their beats, you need to listen more closely. You hear your soul in there.
Holy crap-- Gogol Bordello... just went to their show at the House Of Blues here in San Diego (8/07), and I can tell you with all honesty that I've never danced harder or sweat so much in my life!!!! That was one energetic band! Finally something to wear me out!!!
Shake the magic 8 ball in my iPod and you'll get just about everything! At the moment, I've been really tuned in to dance/trance, punk, metal & Indie rock, but enjoy just about whatever when the mood hits. Magic 8 Ball
Movies:
Super Troopers, Beer Fest, HOT Fuzz, LA Confidential, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Like Water for Chocolate, La Reine Margot, Dust to Glory, Some Kind of Wonderful, Breakfast Club, Jackass, Kill Bill, Layer Cake, Pulp fiction, Shawn of the Dead, Fifth Element, Tombstone, Serenity, 40 Year-Old Virgin, Night at the Roxbury.....Anything that is a huge adventure, a good story, makes me laugh/cry... Hey, I gotta live vicariously sometimes, and then they just inspire me to go out and do things!
Television:
Hehe, when I actually DO sit down on the couch, you'd find me switching to CSI, Man Vs. Wild, MXC on Spike, South Park, Fuel TV, TLC/Discovery.I'm really diggin these 2 new shows, "Pushing Up Daisies" and "the First 48" on A&E - about homicide investigation. Thanks to BBCA in demand, I really debate getting BBCA on my tv so I can watch Top Gear. I'm not a big gear head (car freak) but I know a fun, fast ride when I see it, and boy do they make it all look sexy!!
Books:
Reading Black Hawk Down..... Waiting on another book called "Killing Pablo". I enjoy true crime/current events... You'd really think that the US would learn from past events like those and more readily apply that knowledge to current events. I guess that's what happens when you spread yourself too thinly and just pad your best pals' pockets instead of considering the greater good....But here's food for thought: an author named Michael Albom-
The Five People You Meet in Heaven &
Tuesdays with MorrieAbsolutely phenomenal!!! If ever you wonder where you are in life, check out "Morrie" for a new perspective, and "5 People" if you want to think about where things end up :)
Heroes:
Touched by His Noodly Appendage
As for famous people I'd like to meet, I'd actually like to meet Bono: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=f374a63b299fddbb51f6fa
ef3f89b835.577667 . If we're talking about in the past, I'd like to have been able to meet Lincoln, Churchill, and Elainor Roosevelt. So many reasons, but if you really want to know, you know how to reach me!
