DIVAID (pronounced "divide"), is Nate Divy & Miles
Aidan. Based in New York City, Divaid came about after years of friendship and impromptu jam sessions. Despite our differing appreciation for styles of music, we were always connected. It was our mutual acknowledgment and willingness to rave about the melody of a manufactured Top 40 hit or share our aggravation over the complete oversight by radio of a particular track that solidified our admiration for each other as musicians. As our bond evolved, so did our creativity. We combined our distinctive sounds and blended styles as diverse as electronic, Motown, rock, jazz and Asian world. This musical passion has now resulted in an eclectic mix.
Realizing this unique location on the genre map, we define ourselves as eclecto-pop. We want to play like that great soundtrack...like your old mixed-tape...like your I-Tunes playlist. Variety is the spice of life and Divaid caters to the ever-growing appetite of this multi-hyphenated world.
