Hi, i'm Mike...and i'm a boat-a-holic! If you've talked to me for any more than 5 minutes, i'm sure you will see that boating is a huge part of my life! I enjoy the freedom that it gives you after a long week of working in the trenches!
I enjoy having fun with my friends on and off the boat!
i like all sports and can play most of them pretty well, even though i'm a bit out of practice these days! i like Golf, Baseball, Softball, Bowling (yes, it's a sport), Skiing (Alpine not xcountry), and basketball.
i rollerblade and try to keep fit, even though my lifestyle often collides with this idea!
I travel for work and play, but mostly for work...i spend a great amount of time inbetween Toronto and Kansas City. For vacation spots, Ft. Myers is a fav and so is the East Coast. I hope to get out to the West Coast sometime soon!

I'd like to meet:

I love to meet new people. To see where life has taken them and the interesting stories and places they can share.It's interesting to find out how often your paths have crossed without knowing it!!

Music:

My hard drive says it all...from 38 special, 2pac, and 3 doors down all the way through Warrant, whitesnake, and some Yes!
Music is a huge part of my life...i give all music a try to see if i like it!
Rock, Alternative, Punk, 80's, 70's, 40's and 50's...metal, rap, R & B, Jazz, Jump Blues, Swing and Country.
i like it all!

Movies:

Harry Potter Movies, Pirates of the Carribean (or anything with Kira Knightly in it), Gramdma's Boy, Waiting, Semi-pro, Bourne Movies (even though they are not anything like the book)
Horror and Gore movies are good when you want to see a movie that you are going to RIP on later over beers! I do enjoy romantic comedies like You've Got Mail, and Love Actually, Sleepless in Seattle...
And good sports movies: For the love of the Game, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Slapshot, Happy Gilmore, Tin Cup, and the Legend of Bagger Vance
All time Fav actor would have to go to Cary Grant - no actor in this day and age can even compare to his line delivery and screen presence!

Television:

I don't get too much time for the Tube, but when i do i have a few fav's that i'll watch: Family Guy, Futurama, House, Bones, Law and Order SVU, Dexter, and my old favorites Dawson's Creek and Roswell

Books:

I tried to read House of Leaves...i couldn't do it! If you are a good reader, i'm sure you'd love it...i'll stick to my basic adventure books Harry Potter novels, the Davinci Code, Kurt Vonnegut, and any random book that someone says i should read!

Heroes:

I'd have to say that there are only a handfull of true heroes in the world and i'm lucky enough to have them all in my life...
My Parents because without them and the way they raised me, i would not be who i am today and i thank them for really sticking it out through good times and bad.
My best friend Connie who continues to redefine herself and who takes seamingly impossible situations and turns them around for the better. She constantly overcomes challenges with a grin on her face and fire in her eyes...she is truly a great friend and an inspirational person!

Another theory...

I find that the worse the medicine, or in my case throat lozenges tastes, the better it works at getting rid of whatever is ailing you.It also makes you wonder about the whole "sweetening" of kids me...
